I need one for my 2002 Cyclone. A HD shop has one off a Buell on Ebay, but they dont know the model it came from and there is NO part numbers on it. I know the racks are the same but the L brackets are different. If this doesn't fit my bike, could I easily modify the mounting points? I do have a MIG welder.

You'd probably be better off fabricating new L-brackets than modifying the e-bay ones. Or see if one of the dealers on the site here can get you a spare set.

The racks are also different for the XBs versus the tube framers. If it doesn't fit, you can probably sell it here once you figure out which bike it does fit. Seems like the dealership if they felt so inclined could put forth a little effort and find out which bike the rack was one. Someone there or who used to be there should know.

Maybe they'll give you a no charge for return?
