The dealer is located in New Rochelle at exit 15 off 95 just outside the Bronx. The web site www.nrhd.com

So far there is about 10 members. The meeting's will be on the second Sunday of the month. We decided to try to do a ride once a month at 9:00 am. the same day as the meeting. Than back to the dealer by 12:00 for a BBQ that they will be having every Sunday. After the BBQ will be the meeting. The owner seems like a nice guy and would really like this to work out. He mentioned that he would like his dealership to become the #1 Buell Dealer in the country. He will have a lot of work ahead of him. Lets see if we can help him out.

Good Luck Mike.

It is a bit of a hike for me, but I hope to get there once or twice at least. Keep me informed, if you don't mind.

Good .

This time of the year, we usually go out more towards mid day on Sunday for a bit of a sport ride.

Don't know if we'll be able to keep up, now that you have that big BLACK Uly!

Great news!
I love to hear about new BRAG groups.
It's a beautiful thing when a bunch of motivated Buellers get together.
Just ask anyone that made it to March Badness this year.
Good luck with your new group!

mike- watch yer A*s camping out at Montauk (Hither Hills, I presume?)
That's the region where I first (1987) contracted the Lyme that's been messing with me.....
worst place on the whole planet, for Lyme, is eastern Suffolk County.
PS: I LOVE Montauk. Shagwong ROCKS!

Tramp,
Shagwong ROCKS! That is where I camp all the time. Pull my fifth wheel out on the beach. We were the first campers of the year this weekend. We had the whole beach to ourselves.

My son, daughter and there friends were out surfing at ditch plains and my wife and I were out riding the Ulysses. Took the back roads through the North woods up to Sag Harbor than a ride over to South Hampton. On the way back to Montauk heading through the North woods we ran into Gentleman Jon.

Stopped to say hello and BS for a while and another XB12S rides buy. We could not believe that there were actually 3 Buells in the same place at the same time on Long Island. Jon rode back towards Montauk with us for a while and then had to meet up with some other friends and had to leave. Jon great to ride with you again.

Got the trailer packed and headed out of Montauk late in the morning today. My wife driving the truck/trailer and me on the Ulysses.

Spotted Gentleman Jon in Montauk this morning with a few of his riding buddy's. Jon I could not stop to BS because I was playing blocker for my wife towing the trailer home. I try to keep the right lane clear when she has to make a few wide right turns.

Jon,
On the way out of town the guy on the XB12S was headed into Montauk. Did you get to talk to him?

It was another great weekend for riding on Long Island.

If the sportier riders in the group didn't find the LIE too boring, I would love to organize a 'The End' (it's the slogan for montauk, farthest point East in NYS) run to Montauk, utilizing one of the ferries from Rhode Island or Conn. (hanging out on a ferry, BSing and walking around with the bikes strapped down is actually fun and makes great memories) and ending up at Shagwong or The Lobster Roll for an endpoint.
how do you all new englanders and new yorkers feel about that? it wouldn't be twisty, but just to organize a ride out to the lighthouse could be rad.
RKC- Sounds like you had a great time.
you eat/drink at Shagwong when you were out there?
I love Ditch Plains for surfing. I lived and surfed, collegiate, in Southampton for some years.

Tramp ,
That sounds great.
I would be happy to share my "Secret Route" from Sag Harbor to Napeque with the gang.

Keep me informed.

Mike:
Never did find out who the 12S guy was.

Incidentally, the Lobster Roll's an inexpensive eatery. Stop there, chow down, then enjoy the last 10 or 15 minutes out to the Lighthouse....The End.
Any Boston area riders who don't feel like schlepping to the Hudson valley, first, could actually set up a cool route to one of the RI ferries, and we could all meet
at the lighthouse.
this would be a cool tack to take for Vermont trips, as well. two or three separate packs meeting somewhere en route, or at the endpoint, and then enjoying a nice bit of bench-racing, etc.
I'd like to check out gentleman jon's routes around Shelter Island, Sag Harbour, etc.
Holly and I are going to start checking various ferry schedules (those which would bring the crew back through coastal New England, so as to avoid the Long Island Expressway).
Again, this will be a real chicken-stripper, but it'd make for a nice day trip to the ocean, great for riding two-up, etc.

I would be interested in this trip, but would I catch heck if I didn't bring my Buell since I would like to bring my wife with me, and her and the XB don't get along. I used to live on LI, but now live outside of albany so I could meet you Hudson Valley guys on the ride down (now the area pretty well, used to live in Wappingers Falls at one point also).

you could show up on a goldwing and i wouldn't complain.
there are enough rules in the world, these days, without anyone worrying about what scooter someone else rides.
sure it's buell-based, but a run is a run.
