Gmc:
Assuming that you are not going for the hard bags that the S2 / S3 can be fitted with,

these are soft bags for the X1 lightning
these are Buell accessories

bags-1a saddle bags

the over the seat section is velcro-ed (sp?) together, nice heavy cordura, good zippers, not that much capacity, easy on and off some hardware to allow a bigger bag to be attached you should be able to find em used, watch evil bay s2 bags come up, these would require some metal work though, a thought If you dont have one a tank bag can be made from a back pak for about 10$ and a trip to the "notions" store for strapping and clasps....

Just thought I would throw 2 cents in here. I recently purchased soft luggage from Ebay. They are the 'Bike Master' brand. Very large, so large in fact that I thought about selling them. Until I mounted them on the bike. I have the Ventura mounting system main support bars. Those bars really made a difference in how the bags fit AND looked. Because of the triangled shape tail section ( as viewed from above), the bags have a tendency to mount funny on the bike. Now with the V racks they sit perfectly straight with ground, bike, etc, etc.... Plus they offer a second place to strap the straps to. If you can get some of those for cheap, do it. I have 36 bucks in my saddlebags and will definetly be using them.

Has anybody tried the bags from RKA? A little more pricey, but I hear nothing but good things about the company
