Like the bike, like the concept, just wish it had more torque and HP. As it stands, it really makes my X1 that much more enjoyable. Well, that is with the exception of the shock and exhaust hanging down in DangerLand, which I have yet to scrape on any of my off road adventures. |

nice looking bike - but the 54hp at 7k and the 51ftlbs at 5k kinda makes its more show than go... i dunno, its a target bike - not for everyone i could sure see tooling up the ave with it - top helmet and goggles - dessert gear et al. sure to bring nostalgic thoughts to many |

I have a feeling Kawasaki could have done a better job tarting up a W650. The bike is underpowered and it's also overweight. Not a good combination for anything that moves and stops. Sure looks nice, though. |

I really like that bike. It reminds me of the bikes I drooled over in my youth and couldn't afford. I did have a Honda CL90 scrambler then a CL175 scrambler and then a SL350 scrambler. (Message edited by jerseyguy on April 06, 2006) |

Quality Metal and minimal plastic??? I suppose Unobtainium would have lightened it up a bit but blown the retail price point. |

It's a twin shock!!! Probably positive earth and shifts on the left side. I'm sorry guys, looks like a giant step backwards to me. |

I don't perceive it as a step backwards as it is a retro bike and it actually is more reliable than the original. Yet, I agree with Peter Egan when he commented about how successful it might be if it were 50 pounds lighter and had 20 more horsepower. Heck, if that came true, I would buy one. |

From the UK's longest established Triumph dealer, Jack Lilley........ As soon as I saw the Scrambler I knew what I wanted to do with it. Like me you have probably seen The Great Escape at least 20 or so times! The idea was put together over 6 months ago and was finally completed on the evening of the 24th march! A total respray in army green with airbrush work to a high standard , Steve McQueen on the tank and Barb wire on the mudguards and panels. A single seat, all black wheels, black engine cases, Lucas style rear light, smaller indicators and black headlight grill complete the look. This was only on display for just over 1 hour before being snapped up!! How do you want yours?

Rocket...Nice looking redux and the airbrush work is superb. Something about the solid color that gives it a more serious look. FYI, The Great Escape was on TV (again) last night on one of our national cable channels. Ergo, your post was quite timely. |

Now that is nicely done. Gawd, I hate to sound like a Teutul, but that is how you make a "theme" bike. Tasteful and true to the source. |

they will sell ALL of them. those that want to putt around town will do so in style, and those that wish will put long duration cams, high compression pistons, big carburetors, open exhausts and will have their brand of fun also. |

Love the Triumph retro bikes. The Scrambler and the Thruxton are both cools bikes. One is a Cafe racer and the other is an all purpose bike. http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/3351.aspx |
