It doesn't add much peak HP, but the hole in the midrange goes away, as well as the overall lean condition. You'll notice a whole lot less pinging. Definitely worth the money.

Agreed! All kinds of options as far as exhaust--slip-ons or full...the Buell ECM is made for the Buell Prorace exhaust, however....

Aftermarket mufflers are mostly bought because of the 'orrible silence of the standard Buell-silencer. I can imagine with a more straight-through muffler as one of the aftermarkets definitely are, the already pretty lean mixture will only worsten...
Fitting just an aftermarket-muffler to better the rideability is a sure misinterpretation of facts.

Battle2Win magazine compared the pro-series to a standard exhaust-system a few years back, picked up 14-15Hp in midrange! -with race ignition- but actually lessened peak Hp by one.
I've got the specs around here somewhere, as the results are mentioned in a Italian magazine I bought last year...

Honesty commands me to say these kind of gains are less easily recogniseable with an engine like this, because of the already pretty accessible torque. Strange enough, the power-gain of my x1 fitted with the pro-series and race-ECM were pointed out to me by a friend on a Voxan CF!

Jilles.
