I have been "volunteered" by Court to explore a 20th Anniversary poster idea. I have some rough numbers on the cost. Here are the costs, broken down by quantity, for either a 11 1/2 x 18 poster or a 17 x 24 poster. These are for 100# gloss text weight. The shipping is for shipment to one address. If people wanted a poster shipped to their own address that would be extra. Also, cardboard tubes would be approximately 80 cents each. 11 1/2 x 18 posters, including shipping: 100 - $366.14 ($3.66 each) 200 - $384.08 ($1.92 each) 300 - $402.02 ($1.34 each) 17 x 24 posters, including shipping: 100 - $772.90 ($7.73 each) 200 - $815.70 ($4.08 each) 300 - $858.50 ($2.86 each) What I need to know is, are enough people interested in this to pursue it? I am also including the concept piece I put together on Saturday. Keep in mind that this is just a concept. A collage of Buell pictures, with bold text in the foreground. Both pictures and text could likely change. PS to Court: I would need high resolution images!  | ||

Looks good, needs to be cleared up though. two questions. 1 Who is gonna pay for it. 2 Where and when are you gonna pass them out and/or sell em. (the ones you don't ship) Other than that good job. | ||

Spiderman, These details haven't been worked out yet. I don't even know if there is any interest in it. 1. Who is gonna pay for it? If there is enough interest I could set up a PayPal account and/or have people send me checks. Once a certain threshold is reached, like 50 or 100, I would order posters. But obviously some initial costs I would have to pay. 2. Where and when are you gonna pass them out and/or sell em? The easiest way is to have them shippped initially to my address and then I would ship them to each persons home address. I could also ship a quantity to SE WI and you could pick it up there (maybe at Hal's or some other location). The cost of all this shipping and handling would be figured in to the cost when you order a poster or buy one in SE WI. "Looks good, needs to be cleared up though." I took JPEGs off of other sites and then had to compress this JPEG to get it on BadWeb. For the poster I would use high res images. Plus, the opacity of the images has been set to around 60%. This is by design and could be better appreciated at higher resolution. | ||

I'll take one or two. And if you need a local delivery point I might be able to handle that as well. Plus, DaveGess arranged a bunch of shipping tubes from a local outfit here a couple years ago. Not sure of the cost for them though. | ||

Up to 29 in the first few hours, I'm thinking to go ahead and finalize the pics and format and start figuring out the money receipts. But then I'm just a suggester, not an organizer, so take this as just a suggestion.  It might be nice to get them well before the event so as to hang them on a wall as anticipation of the event. | ||

Might I suggest for those that would like the tubes sent by mail. When you send your money in you include a mailing label with return postage attached. It would sure make it easier on the guy or girl doing the processing. Please carry on the great job. Thanks! | ||

I am wondering who owns the pictures you are using. I know who owns the RW picture and you are welcome to use it with credit but how about the rest? Don't need the motor compnay gettin' all huffy and sending out those nasty letters and such. I am willing to offer up a few pics for the cause but I don't have much in the way of action photos and not much nothing after the S3. | ||
