Well. . . I got my car.

LESSON: Never take your wife to Daytona and tell here if she does the motorcycle thing for a couple days, you'll do something nice for her when you get back.

I should known.....CHICKS!

: )

Thanks all for the advise, most pleasant experience I have ever had buying.

The good news is that she declared the 911 unfit for shopping. Ended up with a Mercedes convertible.

Me?

I ride a bicycle.

I couldnt go for the Element, too much rubbermaid plastic stuff going on for me. (much like the Avalanche)

I like a simpler, clean look.

What kind of gas mileage are you getting in the Scion? They've sort of hit my radar lately.
(gonna be a bit longer before they hit my wallet, but I can still shop around a bit in the mean time)

Craig actually the rubber thing is nice.... no waxing. I thought about a Scion, the price is nice and they look cool but it doesn't have enough room. Funny they are both liitle trucks but the Element is a frigg'n bus in comparison. Also the AWD is nice.

With the stock wheels/tires in the 35 area + -. It can depend on how windy it is out. (not very aerodynamic!)
The crazy thing is that the mileage dosnt really increase on the highway, it's basically the same as in town. I think its the lack of aerodynamics again.

Make sure you go for a good test drive to make sure you can handle the power. There's very little. But for a commuter/around towner with good storage, good handling (great handling with the lo-pro tires) and just being a fun vehicle. It's worth the money.

Hadn't thought of that. Bonus!

How is the mileage with it? A couple complaints that I had heard about it is that people that didnt want a AWD car is that they feel that they could have better mileage if it was available without it.
A 4WD or Auto-AWD option would have been nice for the Scion though.

If I'm not mistaken you can get the Element in just 2WD. But like you said the gas mileage could be better thats for sure. I don't know if I'd buy another one. Its not because I don't like it. Its more like one of those cars/trucks that you just chaulk up to saying yeah I owned one of those along time ago.LOL I love my 4 Runner enough that yes I'll probably buy another in the next year...year and a half.

She actually found exactly want she wanted. . . likely the result of having one of the world's largest dealers right here by the house.

I was amazed. They had several of the Maybach's on the floor and a pair of McLaren's. The most amazing part to me is the damn place sold 50 cars that day. Interesting.

Anyway....she's timid about driving and I've offered her my truck. Jack and I are now banned from the car!
