2000 Buell M2 (got it).
1995 Buell S2 (got it).
1989 Buell RR1200 (look at it every once in awhile, still out of reach).
1942 H-D Knucklehead FL (had a chopped one, want a stockish one with the t-handle passenger seat option and a sidecar).
Beta Trials bike.
Maico 505 3-speed dirt bike (some kid dreams never go away).
Any pre-1923 H-D in ridable condition.
Early Yamaha 250cc street legal Enduro from the 70's.
Bultaco Sherpa-T.
My dad's old Sachs he had when I was a kid fully restored (but probably gone forever).
A 125cc Harley to go with the tail light assembly I still have that was taken off my dad's Sachs (hey, if you needed a part back then you grabbed and used what worked).
A old Indian, probably a Chief, from the late 1950's.
An Excelsior-Henderson from the original company.
Ariel square-four.
Powered Salt-Flats barstool racer complete with faired wheel covers. :)
A mid-60's Honda Dream (why not).
A snortin' Norton, unrestored original condition that's been in someone's basement for the last 30 years but still in running condition.
An Original Triumph Bonneville, not the latest remake.

Shoot, where's my bike book, just open the pages and pick one, if it has two wheels and mostly runs then add it to the list since the resources are unlimited.

Duc 998R, last year's before this year's ugly contest winner.
Kevin Shwantz's RG500 champ-een-ship bike, preferably the one that holds the lap record at Assen.
Eddie Lawon's 1980 superbike
Freddie Spencer's 1980 superbike
Kenny Roberts 690-some-odd CC OW69 that Yamaha used to win Daytona way back when before the AMA killed the GP class in the US
Miles Baldwin's TZ750, from the same era.
Ducati Supermono
Pascal's VR from last year
This year's Pro-Thunder XB9
Honda NR500
Cal Rayborn's XR750 roadracer
Blast dirt-tracker, with lights, street tires, rear-sets, and a front brake. (need something to ride on the street!)

You know mike, i found one about a year ago, and a freind said he would rebuild it for me, at cost, so i talked to the wife and we were kinda in the planning stage when we took a ride up to HH on a sunday, and as i am sure you guessed it there was a very nice commando, done very well, so my wife is asking questions, tring to get a good idea, and waits for the guy to leave(i made her stay and watch) after some thing like 6 kicks it starts to run and die, 4 kicks more and off he goes, so now i have to figure out how to put and electric start on the thing or push start her, so please no ideas, at least not until i have more room, a lift, and a roller starter

Nortons CAN be one-kick starters . . . . . .electronic ignitions (readily available) help a great deal . . . as do carbs who's slides don't rattle in their bores . . . no reason at all for a commando to be that hard to start

An XR750 street tracker would be sweet.

I wouldn't mind a Bimota DB2, as well. That's a beautiful machine.

Forgot about the bimota, they are nice, and the XR would be cool, But what is a SZR 660?? sounds like a snowmobile, never seen it, nor heard of it??
just wondering
i think i forgot to mention that turbine powered bike, really only good for looks, at least for me, but it would be very cool at the local hang out, for nothing else than the sound

SZR is a Europe only model. It's a 660 Dual Sport single in a svelte deltabox style sportbike chassis. They've been modified into some scorching supermono racers. See one here

here is a bigger pic:
ttp://www.thumperpage.com/pix/archive/Yamaha/DS660SZR.jpg
kinda looks like an sv/fzr minus 1 cylinder(or 3 depending) that seems like it would be alot of work to make it a motard bike, but rules is rules

I did a bit of research on older Ducatis recently. From what I found, IMO the F1 750 is the best air/oil cooled Desmo created. If I find one of these little gems, and at a fairly reasonable price (relatively speaking), my next bike won't be a Buell.

I would like to have one of each Buell Model ever made.

After that it would have to be a large displacement dual purpose machine. KLR650 or Honda's 650.

>>> F1 750 is the best air/oil cooled Desmo created.

Could well be. One way or the other, it's damn sure the BEST looking one ever made. Of course, if yoiu want to see a PERFECT example of one you'll have to go to East Troy, WI :)

The Duc that Smart made history at Imola with still trips my trigger. I still laugh....he was away in the United States on business when the call came and his wife comitted him to race. It was not until his return that she broke the news to him.

Court (who learned that recently while doing research for a 45 minute speech on Ducati history to a group of gathered celebrities . . . hey...I'll do anything for buck :)

1. Britten
2. RR1000
3. VR1000
4. Benelli Tornado
5. MV Augusta

I'm halfway there to having one each of every Buell model ever made!!

1 Westwind
1 Thunderbolt
1 Lightning
1 Blast

I need a Battletwin, a Cyclone and a XB9 series to complete the package. Technically I should have an S3 Thunderbolt and an S1 Lightning as well.

The 750's were a good 50lbs lighter, 1" shorter in the wheelbase, and were at about the same power level as the modern 900 two valve engines...and they did look a hell of a lot better. What happened?

I have a better appreciation for the older ducs than I used to.

They just don't make 'em like this anymore
