MikeJ, so i should spend my time, which is not cheep or readily avaliable, go back to the dealership for a 3rd time, and try and get a part for my bike, that has been paid for in full 6 months ago???why dont i just go to e. troy and get the part myself, i think it would have cost me less in the long run, So after this level of service in the 3rd largest city in the nation, how does anybody expect me to order parts again, how is it that i am supose to do the leg work for the dealer, which he gets paid to do, it just drops my jaw, yes i will go up today and get my money back, however they will tell me its Buells fault, the intereting thing that is being missed is that, if someone with out internet, or in the loop, what would they think, would they belive the dealer, and how does this translate into Buell sales, i almost wish i hated my bike, it would make it much eaiser

Roger,
Do like many of us had and start giving your business to a Buell dealer that deserves it. Ones like Sport Twin, Waterloo,or Modesto. It does you no good to complain here. Use the power of the almighty dollar to send your message loud and clear to your dealer.

Roger,
Then just call Buell Customer Service and ask them to handle it. Then send you're dealership a photocopy of the receipt with a little note stuffed into a homemade Christmas card telling them to get stuffed as they'll never see you again since you consider their acts a potential act of fraud by taking your money and not delivering your parts unless they can prove to you that Buell did in fact cancel the order. Then take the case to your local District Attorney and ask if you have a case of consumer fraud against the dealership. Then go downtown and file a small claims suit against the dealership for recovery of your lost money and recovery of court costs and lost wages and gas and food and travel expenses and telephone charges and travel charges to and from the dealership trying to get this resolved. Then when all is said and done go post a "bad dealer" report in the appropriate section here and elsewhere on the internet.

Life is what you make it sometimes. Work it or hang it, your choice what path you follow.

In any case the situation sucks, but after 6 months the issue is either dead or forgotten unless you reactivate it. Hang in there, and spread the word if you feel the need.

Roger,

Sorry to learn of your dilemma. Have had excellent experience with Hal's HD&B here in New Berlin, WI concerning parts. With the parts distribution center here in Franklin, WI, I cannot understand any dealer not being able to get what you need in a reasonable amount of time. Just does not make good business sense.

Lawnboy? Damn Dave I didn't know you had it in you! Some times the title just fits.

Roger,
Time is never cheep unless you are a bird. If you insist on attaching dollar signs to it life becomes cheap. Try having some real fun instead of trying to buy it. Just a thought.

Court, I was with Roger at the open house when the women from P&A talked to him & told him that yes they had received the order to make his fairing stay. So obviously it was ordered & paid for & Buell had the order. After that who knows what happened??

What women from P&A?

I have no doubt that it was "ordered and paid for" but something here, based on my limited experience with Buell, is not right.

I confess to being both curious and eager to get the info from Roger.

Roger,

Something does not add up, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands and go to the top to see what happend. I am sure with the rescources here on this board you will get your problem resolved.

I recently had an incident with HOG/BRAG and could not resolve the problem until I got someone at the head office level within the organizations.

Good Luck

Ok i will make this quick, her name was not important (name deleted by moderator), and she is why i am not mad at Buell and in no way feel it was any point Buell's fault, she went out of her way to get me as much info as she could, and did so with an undestanding of customer service that rivals any dealer i have been to(personally)and Court, there is only one or 2 people in P$A, so i doubt if you called you would have had any trouble finding out who it was
The Story:
Crash, order part, wait several months, stop at buell open house, get an explination as to the delay, AND and expected date, along with a date the part should be at the dealer, 3 months pass and i stop by the dealer, and am told Buell cancelled the order(bull shit), stop by a month later and cancell the order myself and am told" Well buell is kinda slow with its orders"(bull shit)
Yes i got my money back, no i was not mad at the counter people, its not there fault
Does this dealer care about Buell, no way
Would i shop there again, nope i bought a Ducati a month ago instead of the M2 low for the wife
Will i order from Dave, i may but will spend the money right now on the wifes christmas gift
Do you know why my Duc has more custom parts on it than the BUELL, CUSTOMER SERVICE at the dealer level
This is how i am treated in the third largest city in the US, again i wish i hated my Buell, it would make it much easier to deal with, now after this and some of the other stories i have heard, and seen do you really think i would be a repeat customer
Now why i am i like this, well i am in winter mode, which means i repair everything the has gone bad in the summer(mowers, utility carts, so on) and i order about $4500 on parts for my vehicles, and guess what, i get them at a dealer, they call me when there in, they let me know if there not in and when they will be in, and if a part is missing, they will send me another one free of charge(happened yesterday) So i dont belive in excuses, i dont want to hear how there arent many of my bike(because there are less mowers, of the style i use, and they still get me the parts on time)i am not interested in going to court over a 125 part, but do you think this dealer cares if i take my order some place else, why should he, he is the ONLY dealer in chicago, so he really dosnt care, the problem as i see it is, what if i wasnt at the open house, what if i wasnt on the internet, guess what, i would belive it was buells fault
again its really a shame, especially when i am at a toys for tots run that at 17 degs still pulled in 20,000 bikes, and i am one of the only buells and people ask me about the bike, what am i supose to say
Makes me very mad, but who am i mad at????

Court, whats the point, the order is cancelled, everything i wrote is fact, i dont have the part number on me, i am at work, and after i got the money back, all the paper work got pitched in front of the dealers show room, what good is calling buell going to do, it not there fault, they went above board in all respects, every single person that works there that i have meet/riden with are way cool, so caling them is pointless, plus we all know they read the boards, so i am sure they aready have all the info they need, and i got my money back so i get the parts elsware, not really a big deal but an interesting view into the way non harley people are treated, i will get you the info once i get home
enjoy the day, some times its all you have
Roger
