The new Cycle World shows "evidence" that Suzuki's B-King may yet become a reality -- can you imagine putting the whip to a naked Hayabusa?

Yummmmmmmmmmmmy........................

The Aztek...I don't know whether to cringe or laugh when I see those.

Libnosis...I think the 9S has potential...I picture it with the S1 headlight/flyscreen/mount/instruments. Yeeeaaaahhhhh. I don't think there will ever be a real S1 replacement...and I have no problem with that.

The Duke looks a lot better stripped...most bikes do, me thinks. I like 'em nekkid...even with some guts exposed.

The Bulldog was a great idea but isn't it only a 60HP 1100 ? Last time I checked, it wasn't imported into North America

The caption next to this photo in the Nov. 2002 issue of Cycle World says:

“Handlebars up, plastic acreage down. Well connected Japanese mag Young Machine usually gets its spy stuff right on. Recent issues suggest Suzuki is up to something big, with a Gixxer streetfighter, production B-King and redone TL 1000 V-Twin. One each, please.”

Is anyone else getting a little tired of the Firebolt getting compared to a DukeII, here and in all the magazines? It may be heavier, but there aren't many kinds of race the 'bolt can't win with a 2 year head start! I mean, if we're talking bikes that don't exist, give me a street legal Tularis!

I remember reading that article a while back. I went ahead and took the survey (again). All the press releases are from 1999. I wonder if they trashed the idea?

It may not exist, but if KTM makes it before Buell loses some weight and finds some horsepower, I may just have to reserve some space in my garage for it. Now if only it wasn't so ugly.......

I saw one of the earlier Hellcats at a shop near Aaron's place, the other week. It was a 99 model with a 130" in it. It's the first time I've seen one in the 'flesh' and I liked it. I'd buy one if it rode as great as it looked, if I had the dosh of course, but the seat is butt ugly. I'd like to see it with an S1 style tail maybe, and footpegs etc in a more rearward position. Photoshop anyone ?

HOT NEWS

They're coming at last.............

Buell Killer

This gets my money next time around.

If, according to MCN today, the Brutale really does make it to production, I'm seriously gonna look at bailing on the Buell.

I'm impressed that Buell could be on the -VERY- leading edge of such a huge style trend and still be left so very far behind.

Honest to God - the '98 S1W was so cool and so far ahead of it's time that the rest of the motorcycling world is just now catching up, but the XB9(whatever: R or S) is about a half step behind the rest of the industry AND loosing ground.

Buell isn't seriously trying to make touring bikes or Supersport Race / Rep bikes, but the rest of the world is serious about making good, solid, "standard" bikes. Bikes like the KTM Duke 950 V-2 and the Brutale 750 are making life very hard for the nice folks in East Troy, Wi.

Being a consumer in a supply and demand world is a wonderful thing. Just put $10,000 in my bank account and we’ll all see if this consumer buys the new XB or not. Personally, I would buy whatever I felt gives me the most bang for my buck and that may be a new Buell or maybe it wouldn’t. Let a dozen manufactures compete for my money and we'll all see who I think has the best product at the best price.

If they sold them in Canada, I'd be wanting an Aprilia Tuono, which, meaning "Thunder" should still qualify as a Bad Weather Bike, right?

The Brutale is an awesome looking thing but My old Euro bike dealer dumped Augusta after 1 yr. Seems he couldn't even get replacement oil filters from Cagiva (The parent company of M/V Augusta). I bought the Buell cuz I got tired of waiting 3-6 weeks on Triumph parts to make the 1 day UPS Ground ride from Newnan, GA to Nashville.

If I had the dough I'd order one of Kenny Dreer's creations. I've never gotten over the Norton I had in the 70's. Look at vintagerebuilds.com.

A few months ago this picture caused a major flap.

The Mother Company could build a V-Rod based Streetfighter.
It's Not A Buell - Bummer
I liked it then and I still do. I'd like to see it with a single sided swing arm, and the seat and rear fender could be improved. It suppose it would weigh 500 lbs. dry and it looks pretty tall but it would be a fun bike to do wheelies on.

Yes Ray, that would get my attention too. I've wondered with interest if that 'fighter' might ever see the light of day. It might even make me 'proud' of the Harley name again if they dared produce it :)

Can you beleive the mother company (H-D) only did a few "nice paint jobs" for the 100th anniversary model year? I thought the streetfighter would be a certainty, esp to help pay down the Vrod R&D costs.
