P.S. this should REALLY upset you... I'm getting a Uly for at least a day next week to test out. And I get a BMW Trailie to try this weekend.

oh boy, I cant just see XLCR rocking back and forth now... how come HE gets a Buell and I dont? He's just gonna HATE it, even if he SAYS he likes it I know the TRUTH !!!! He really will hate it, and be doing something behind his back to bring BUELL down. In fact, just by SAYING he likes it he will be putting Buell down. So if he says he likes it, or he says he hates it... he REALLY hates it...

yeah... thats it... he hates Buells....*rock back and forth*... yeah... paid by Suzuki...yeah.... time to make up another false police report....*rock back and forth*... paid by suzuki... hates buells... more false police reports....

I just read XLCR's post. It is very well written but I think it has logic flaws. I really don't think SacBORG is a "poisoned dagger in the side of Buell".

In the first place, when I bought my Buell I had never even heard of BadWeb, SacBORG or ATC. If you had mentioned these sites to me on the day I picked up my bike I would have had no idea what you were talking about. I think that's true for the vast majority of Buell buyers. We found and came to these sites because we became Buell owners. Not the other way around. In other words, none of these sites made me a Buell owner.

In the second place, and this is something Dyna has pointed out many times, the vast majority of Buell owners still have never heard of these sites. Look at the number of people who post and even include some unknown number of people who just lurk. It represents a pretty small percentage of Buell owners. All the other Buell owners either don't spend a lot of time online or they have never found these sites or they just aren't interested in internet forums.

It's quite a stretch to claim that SacBORG is somehow undermining Buell. Both BadWeb and SacBORG have very little to do with Buell's future success or failure.

i hate the depersonalizatiuon of these boards.

Good grief.

Thanks Jon, and RT, and CJ, and others!

Chop,
My observation is that you tend to misrepresent via over-exaggerate way too often. Seriously.

To those who somehow perceive that BadWeB is a PC board... aaarrrrrgggghh! I hate PC. No WAY this place is PC. Political Correctness is not merely the absense of vulgarity and such. PC as I understand it is emphasizing and at all costs falling at the feet of socialism, multiculturalism and internationalism over capitalism, tradition, and patriotism.

"PC"? <SHUDDER!> Please no! : ]

I'll be very honest, since my friend and formerly highly valued BadWeB custodian, Bomber, asked...

I'd say BadWeB is a bit more thoughtful and family oriented is all, and by definition, that sometimes requires intervention. That is by choice and by definition. I see BadWeB as the time-honored neighborhood family pub to SacBORG's no-holds-barred spring break in Mexico fraternity blast with strippers, hookers, and all manner of debauchery.

Get out of line at the neighborhood/family pub and you'll be shown the door. Get out of line at the spring break fraternity blast and you are just one of the crowd. Not to say that everything at spring break is debaucherous. Just that some is. Been there. Done that. ; )

I wonder Vik and Chop, in casual conversation with folks you respect, say grandparents, family, respected collegues, corporate management, customers, etc... are you honestly proud, comfortable even in introducing SacBORG as one of your pastimes and personal creations? Vik, will you want your kiddo sharing that his Daddy is the man who runs SacBORG?

See for me, I endeavor to avoid situations which I would be ashamed for others to discover. The fewer secrets I have to keep, the better. And trust me, I'm plenty ashamed of some of the things I've posted both here and on SacBORG. Thankfully I'm still maturing. I'm definitely the tortoise in the race to psychological maturity. Folks like Jon, and Bomber, and RT, and Court, and Pammy, and Wes, and Brian Nallin, Dave Stueve, Rex, JVV, The Woz, Hans, Reepicheap, Henrik, Slaughter, Tim Horton, Vik, and so many others here are such great models of thoughtfulness and consideration. It's beyond measure the value they've all addes to my life. Thanks all for that.

Now I gotta go edit a post elsewhere that I already am starting to regret. : ]

Cheers,

Blake

PS: If BadWeB is so intent on squelching the mention of problems with Buell motorcycles as some contend, then how is it that we save for all posterity tens of thousands of posts in our Knowledge Vault, many of which are seeking help for the resolution of problems or complaints? Hmmm, don't make sense do it? Nope, it don't. : )

How is it that BadWeB provides a specific report form for and indeed requests that all participants complete in detail a listing of all problems they have encountered with their Buell motorcycle(s) but at the same time are seeking to ignore or hinder the revelation of problems with Buell motorcycles? Hmmm... Don't make much sense do it? Nope, it don't. : )

Stifling or hindering that kind of participation (reporting problems/frustrations) on this board has NEVER been policy here. That some participants MAY brace against unthoughtfully worded posts of others who are seen as seeking to berate Buell motorcycles does not represent board policy. But apparently some would like to see stifled such opposing opinion? Interesting. Sad, but interesting.

If you come to a Buell Enthusiasts' forum and rant and rave emotionally about how , or silly, or inferior or over-rated... you might think Buell motorcycles or their unique designs are, you had better darn well expect to be met with strong opposition, especially if/when you invade a thread whose intent was to congratulate Buell Motorcycle Company on achieving lauded recognition by notable motorcycle media. Period. To do so and then whine about it is simply pathetic and the true unmistakable mark of an internet troll.

Vik, will you want your kiddo sharing that his Daddy is the man who runs SacBORG?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I cant speak for Vik, but I can speak for me...

I am VERY proud to share with my family all that is SacBorg. My dad was PROUD to have the moniker

ChopPop

ya want to know how he felt about it, ask the people he met because of SacBorg.

Ask:
Snail
Jon
Henrik
Aaron
Vik
Woz
Rex
FMJ
....

there are many others, but I think they might be able to give the best rundown.

they will express to you in no uncertain terms how he felt about all thigns SacBorg.

I would imagine if anyone that has ever paid for advertising ever felt bad about what was going on at SacBorg felt poorly about it, they would pull the ad. So far, they havent.

I was brought up to speak my mind. If I feel sorry for anything I say, I tell ya. I dont feel sorry for expressing my opinion. If I think something sucks, the only one I have to answer to is me. If I like something, likewise.

What I will NOT suffer, is someone telling me I'm WRONG because I like something or dont, or that I may think something is #1, or #2, or #3...

Blake you are taking a similar extreme that XLCR is.

I did NOT rant and rave about how sily, overated.. on and on I think Buells are.

all I did was express an opinion. One that was requested by a member of your board, and solictied by YOU.

If you dont like the opinoion you got, boo-friggin-who. Dont ask next time.

THEN I defended that opinoin with my experinces, and from every possible friggin angle I got BS:

You dont ride the bikes hard enough to know better.

You ride the bikes too hard, they are street bikes not track.

The industry is only ignoring Eriks inovations to dis-respect him.

Your opinion doesnt matter cuz someone in a magazine said so.

The Magazine is right when it calls Buell #1, but wrong when it calls Buell #9.

You've never ridden the bike on the right tires.

You dont know what yer talking about cuz you cant beat a Buell factory racer.

I know better than you even though I've never ridden any of the bikes involved and you have.

You hate Buells because you dont own one.

on and on.
all kinds of carp.

I didnt not spend lots of time ranting about the OPINION or trying to hammer into anyones brain, I spent ALOT of time defending myself. Which is DIFFERENT than the opinion.

if you REALLY feel that what said on BadWeb was WRONG, expressing an opinion that you asked for, and that thinking Buell may possibly not be the #1 best cornering street bike EVER, and that makes me somehow a Buell HATER and not an "enthusiast", however you see that in your mind........

perhaps yer right.

But ya know what, I dont give two rats rear ends.

I will still send $ to the Buell Racing Contingency
I will still support Buell Racing Efforts in AFM
I will still look for an XB9 cheap enough to justify racing it in AFM
I will still attend ever Buell event I can get to
I will still "consort" will Buell owners (lots of whom dont post to either board or could give two carps what anyone says on either)
I will still run SacBorg
I will still do whatever the heck I feel like to support or bad mouth Buell

cuz ya know what? i can do whatever the heeeeeeeelllllll I like, Free, White and 21 beyatch.

if you dont like it? well, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.

BadWeb is indeed more thoughful of the Buell Boards. No arguement. Never said otherwise.

SacBorg is, always has been, and always will be the Wild West. Enter at your own risk.

anyone that doesnt understand that, doenst know the two boards.

NEVER an issue.

what is an issue, again, is the OVER THE TOP bs, that some here, XLCR in particular have been spewing. Look to the various and conflicting BS that was spewed at me for daring to have an opinion.

That is what has been an issue. That, and that alone.

It even went past the discussion of the bike itself... look to the threads where I've participated... it goes from expressing some direct experience, to defending myself from personal attacks.

Something I will do endlessly.

its not a rant about the flaws/attributes/virtues of a bike at that point.

road thing

yer right it has gone too far.

I'm pissed, and prolly shouldnt be typing the random carp I am.

But if one were to poke at me like this in person, you'd get the same response.

I have a VERY thin shite filter and tend to say what I think. It comes out on the keyboard as well.

But its who I am. Dont like it, oh well.

But yer right.

its only motorcycles.

if you dont like my opinion of your favorite bike, whether you actually own one or not....

feel free to go play hopsctoch on the freeway.

it shouldnt make $.02 matter to me, but somehow it does.

ya know why?

cuz I give a shite about the brand. Whether you think so or not, I'm a fan. I support the brand and the effort, and get pissed when someone says otherwise.

Maybe its cuz I've got so much tied up in Buell, and take GREAT offense when someone says otherwise.

oh and the 54 Guzzi,

oh and the two 70's Honda's that now belong to Dusty,
that I got from Rex,
for to ride on the Salt while wer were out there with Team Elves... ever heard of them? Prolly not, nevermind, you'd just say I was there to drag down the Buell effort anyway....

sigh.....

but really, you insights into the history of motorcycling have REALLY taught me something...

I'll be sure to let everyone in my club, the AMCA Fort Sutter Chapter, know that yer an expert in the history of motorcycling. Heck, I'm sure they'll make you a judge right off the bat.

please stick to what you know...

yer XLCR...
