I agree with whoever was making the point that the berating of other discussion boards and/or their contributors is seldom indicative of a strong character. Clarification! Just for the sake of knowing, how many happy XB owners would you suppose are regular posters on SACBORG? I think someone should post a poll there with the following choices: 1. I am a happy XB owner. 2. I am a happy tuber owner. 3. I ride a Hayabusa or an R-1, but I have a partially disassembled old tuber sitting in the corner of my garage. I have no intention of ever fixing it, because I'm using it as 'Exhibit A' for the worthlessness of Buells in general, and I go into a carefully rehearsed speech on every problem I ever had with it when new people come over. 4. I sold mine and will never buy another! 5. I've never owned a Buell and never will! I suspect if they are honest the numbers in the last three categories will strongly outnumber the first two. | ||

Whatever happened with the big race between Cecil and Blake? Did they ever end up racing? Rememeber that thread on SacBORG? That was some really funny stuff! Cecil and Blake went back and forth for pages and pages! It was good for hours of entertainment!  | ||

I don't post there and I'm a STRONG category 1. There is NO perfect machine. I have met many motorcycle enthusiasts from BADWEB and have made great friends from here. Personally, stop the bickering, its a Buell motorcycle forum. POSITIVE inputs and helpful posts are what keep me participating on Badweb. Just my opinion. | ||

In all fairness, xlcr, dyna has posted that he's interested in rebuilding his basket case and enjoying it. ....in all fairness.... I just hesitate to add this point because i think we can all discuss things other than sacborg and/or it's members. fighting fire with fire doesn't always work...sometimes it really just means twice the smoke.... maybe we can all get off the 'borg bashing topic and get back to bikes? maybe the few really acrid 'borgers'll do the same. (post edited to avoid further appearance of official associations with any boards)these things tend to emenate, typically, from fewer than a handful of angry posters on either board. I love (and race) my XB I love (and did street ride) my tuber (still in the garage with expired tags) I love (and did race) my SV650 I currently only ride the track but will get street riding again so Sunny has somebody to ride with. I post on "both" boards I "get" both boards and always have a problem understand those who don't. | ||

I'm on many boards but seems to be a "thing" between SACBORG and Badweb. Seems some folks just got axes to grind. ATC was the first board I got onto regularly when I started riding the Buell. Shucks, I even thought about asking Blake to ban me just so I could brag about it elsewhere - I mean he changed my ID here to "Loretta" Too many of the sportbike boards end up sounding all the same and I mostly go to the 3 boards - ATC, SACBORG and of course, Badweb because of my involvement in the Buell "thing." Even though I no longer race the SV, I'm still very active on one of the boards. | ||

I was trying not to be too critical, but I really am curious about it. From what I've seen there, I find it hard to believe there is really all that much there to appeal to the satisfied XB owner. There are many very negative opinions there, and I've seen a lot more about tubers there than about the XBs. Also, I can't seem to get there anymore, I just tried and it just hits the address for a moment, then says 'done'. (Message edited by xlcr on October 09, 2005) | ||

I suspect if they are honest the numbers in the last three categories will strongly outnumber the first two. Pretty funny, and just as off the wall as your other paranoid rantings. Show how much you know about SacBorg, and how long you've been read either of these boards. Chances are you'll find all of the categories on SacBorg, plus a few others... like... I like Buells, have one in my garage, right along with other brands of bikes (and no that does not make me a Buell Hater) I've owned Buells in the past, but my riding style has moved away from what Buell has to offer, so I dont own one any more. I hated my Tuber cuz it blew up on me X times. So now I have a different brand of bike, but lust after a well sorted S1W as my 2nd/3rd/4th/5th..... bike. You'll also find those race the snot out of their Buells, and those that support them all the way (myself included in the later category). And You'll find those that have done a ton for Buell in the past, and continue to do so. I'd be suprised if you found anyone on SacBorg that has nver owned a Buell. I personally cant think of anyone. I'll tell you what you WONT find though... is any nit-wit that think just because you dont agree with every word of press thats printed about Buell, positive or negative, you are a Buell hater, you are paid by Suzuki to badmouth Buell.... ya gotta come here for that.
