Went on a lunch ride yesterday to a gourmet destination. Connected the helmet cam. Curves, sweepers, sandy corners, sunshine, trout stream, exhaust note, some music, a little bit of everything on this local Colorado Buell ride.

A six minute streaming vid...

Very nice vid!

What equipment do you use for your helmet cam? I've been looking into some sort of camera for my bike but I'm not looking to spend a lot. Ideally I'd like to have two cameras, one facing forward and one facing rearward.

Awesome - it looks like to much fun. As some one said - What kind of equipment did you use to make the video?

Need that technology.

Thanks for sharing. I know the route well, highway 67 between Pine Junction and Buffalo Creek. You're right about those corners towards the end, I've never seen them sand-less. The other quirk about the C-Store, gotta buy something there before the give you the key to the restroom.

Hey thanks everyone, it was a fine lunch ride as only the hot thing from Milwaukee can deliver.

I had a bulletcam from helmetcamera.com velcro'd to the side the helmet (see the helmet upper right of the screen?), feeding a mundane camcorder tucked into a fanny pack. I put the weak bullet cam mic in my backpack so I would block most of the wind noise, and let more of the exhaust music through.

Unfortunately, I lost the best footage in some nice, tight (and clean!) twisties when I accidently turned off the remote record on/off button as I was leaning forward far and off into the curves. Doh!!! I hate it when that happens!

Still, a nice road as Chainsaw notes. Probably can't tell, but I'm climbing in the sweeper section of the vid. And the river is the South Platte near Deckers, CO. It is where I stopped for a snack lunch. VP Cheney fished the area a couple of years ago. I came around a corner once and saw the presence of THE LAW.

Good riding everyone!

Chase - I got it downloaded, let me know where you want it sent. Email me direct at jacker at midmaine dot com.

For those who want to save it, with most browsers you want to right click on the link and choose the "Save link target as..." option. It will prompt you for a location to save it to, put it somewhere like your desktop.
