I'm running an A/F gauge and the 4 wire 02 sensor.

I tapped the stock gauges for 12v power supply. My problem is that on the o2 signal wire the multimeter shows me 4.8-5.0 volts when the igntion is on. This is even without the heated wires hooked up.

Without the engine running ignition is on. 12v switched power and no ground wire. I can get 12v on the signal wire at the o2 sensor. as if the volts for the gauge lighting is flowing through the gauge and into the signal wire.???

May not have the correct sensor? That guage takes a narrow band O2 sensor. I was using a single wire Bosch unit and never had any problems.

The readout won't be correct until you start it. Mine shows about .5 until the bike is running.

This is normal.
