This is a follow-up to a recently archived thread:

We are having our second demo event of the 2005 season Saturday, August 27th from 10:00am until 4:00pm. After hosting the Buell demo truck at our dealership on a number of occasions in the past, we began doing our demo events in-house last year. While having the official Buell demo truck onsite is fun, the great advantage, for our dealership, in doing our own demo event is that riders enjoy the opportunity to test ride both Harley-Davidson and Buell models. We found that people who came to ride Harley-Davidsons end up sampling Buell motorcycles and those who came to ride a Buell may try out a V-Rod, Springer Classic, Dyna or touring model. This type of event has worked tremendously well for us.

The Buell product we will have available to sample include, the new XB12Ss, an XB12R, City X, and XB12CG and also a Blast. We have not yet received a Ulysses, but are hoping the first one arrives in time for the event. If it doesn’t, you are welcome to stop in for an individual demo ride once it is at our dealership. Harley-Davidsons available to ride include, a V-Rod, Street Rod, Dyna Street Bob, Springer Classic, Ultra Classic FLHTCUI, Road King, Heritage, 883L etc. 14 motorcycles total.

Concerning our B.R.A.G. Chapter: The chapter’s name is Hoosier Thunder Club and it was one of the first chapters chartered. We have gone from being a very active to chapter to one that is currently not so active. I would love to kick start the enthusiasm again, but I need the help of area Buell enthusiasts who want to get involved. If you are interested in being an “active” participant in the Hoosier Thunder Club B.R.A.G. then give me a call, send me an email or better still, simply stop by and we’ll get rolling. We love Buell motorcycles and they are an important part of our business. I am always willing to do my part as the sponsoring dealer, but it takes enthused members to really make a B.R.A.G. chapter successful.

We hope to see you at our demo event this Saturday.

You probably should have listed your dealership name and/or location.

That's Jeff Stevens from Bloomington HD/Buell, Bloomington, IN

I really wish I could make the demo...I got this whole series of threads started, and now have previous plans for the day everyone gets together!
I am really interested in the Brag chapter. I haven't joined yet, but it's only because I didn't realize there was a local chapter (wondered what that Hoosier Thunder decal was on my bike when I got it from the previous owner)
If there is an interest, then I am in!
If ya' get the chance...swing by the sales dept. and tell Kevin, that Bob Smith says "Hey!"

Jeff, I'm bringing some Buelligans down from the Indy area on saturday to look at some bikes, sample Bloomington hospitality, get my 5k service, maybe buy a tire, and chat with you about the BRAG chapter. I'll be there bright and early.

Pete

Do you need a license or just a permit to test ride?

Hmm. Today's the 27th, and I'm about to go to work, so I guess I missed it, huh?

Evansville has stopped selling Buells, so Bloomington or Mt. Vernon, IL are my local choices. I'm lusting after an Ulysses. Mayhaps we'll meet soon.
