That is going to be a good time! I have'nt ridden those roads since I lived in Maryland. Western Maryland is a nice area to ride. There are lots of parks and windy roads. I can remember camping in New Germany state park via my sportster and on another adventure, going to the annual ABATE bash at the Cumberland fair ground. The Buell adventure should be a good one for the history books! This is a must do. The leaves should be changing colors. That makes for great scenery in the mtns.!

I got the ball rolling for a trip to the Dragon from the NorthEast but I did'nt do my homework. Are you guys interested in going to Lavale,MD for the Buell Adventure? I can't do two trips. Put the Dragon off for a while. Plus, I need to go see family and friends down that way. I have'nt visited in a while. So how about it, any takers?

I am definitely planning on it.
Made a hotel reservation.
Rebuilt the trailer.
Ordered a new tire.
Thinking about cleaning the bike:-)
Looking forward to seeing all the Bad webbers.
Last years event on the Blue Ridge was definitely worth the trip!!

Will be there, will have a lot of fun, have some "side roads" that I'll show whoever wants to follow me while we're there.

Hint, look for Scherr in WV.......

I wanted to ride down. Can't imagine hotels fill up fast. I think there is a company that will take care of accomidations through the Buell website, can't remember it was late. The Dragon sounds good for the spring.

LaVale isn't far (~ 2hrs) from my house so I may wander over.
Course, it really depends on the Ulysses coming in beginning of Sept.
Oh yea, some great roads north of LaVale in PA.

Cheers

Somebody clue me in, according to the byool website, registration ends on 9/9 but late regy is accepted by phone. Furthermore registration is $40 for bragsters and $65 for non-brags.
So since my 1-yr membership expired, what does $65.00 buy me?

The roads are free, so anyone can ride em right?

Whats the $65 get me? I see that they recommend Omega world travel to get accomodations, so I'm assuming that accomodations are not included for $65.00

I dont really care about hotels & such as I ussually sleel in a tent/bag when I travel, but I'm seriously considering going!

The money gets you the T-Shirt & other stuff, free food, adventure guide (the ride maps), the event insurance, etc......

lodging is separarate, if you're tenting it then no worries.

Fritz,
You really ought to go, pants full of fun.
The $65 is a good value, gets you group breakfasts and dinner, other stuff. Last year they took over a local bumper car place, everybody raced around for a couple of hours.
However, even if you don't sign up, you can sit in on the rides, they are only loosely organized, and have a good time.

My wife and I are going. We are registered at the Hotel were BRAG is stationed so hope to be in the middle of things. I'm excited because this will be my first BRAG event and the fact that my wife and I are going to have a get away. We enjoy riding the back roads around here but with three kids its hard to find the time to get away. The M2 is a great two up bike, the flat torque curve really pulls with little effort, plus the Corbin seat really helps for comfort. Jose' I may see you this weekend at VIR, if not I'll see you in Maryland.

BumbleBuell and I will be there.. At the hotel, riding the rides, enjoying everything about the experience. Went to NC and had such a great time compared to a HOG event.. Let's face it.. You get SO MUCH more with a BRAG event, they are really worth the price. If this is anything like the last one we attended, it's a great way to spend several days, a bunch of miles on your bike and even get to hang out with the coolest motorcyclists in the universe.. Buellers!

Nuff Said.

Saintly - For the $40 it cost me to go to running the ridge last year I got:

Long sleeved T shirt
4 meals
couple hours at the go cart park
dyno run at Tilleys
Group picture

There is no way I could have come close to buying all that for $40 or even $65.

To all the Friends I met on my first BRAG event last year in Boone, NC, I'll be looking forward to seeing you this year cause you're comin' to my neck of the woods. Maybe we can do a little ripin up route 50 and yes JOSE, Scherr is a good area to ride. I'll be free the whole week if you'll be in early we can go ride. Looking forward to this year because last year's Running the Ridge event was way more than I had ever expected.

Buell,

We rent the Blast and CityX at Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson/Buell in Orwigsburg, PA. We are about 2 hours away from LaVale, MD. If you are interested, you can reserve a rental through our web site www.schaeffershd.com/rentals. Hope this helps!

I've been on the fence about whether I'm going to go. I just got back from VIR where I ran into several people I met last year at running the ridge. That pushed me over the edge. I'm going to LaVale this year!

If it's not too late, skip Omega and go to the Best Western webpage. Rooms are cheaper there.
