NICE RIDE! RT

Is that sweat from kickin' that beast in that hot Texas weather?
How are those dual plug heads working out?

Thanks, gents, I'm pleased with the way it's coming along. Still have to buff some nits out of the paint, but that's trivial.

The sweat is from 95 degrees and 95% humidity in the Entropy Lab del Sud. When crude hits $100 a barrel, I'm gonna air-condition! The bike has an electric starter, but sometimes I kick it anyway, just to remind myself how good we have it these days...

One more shot...

Merci beaucoup, Tramp.

The front end job was pretty straightforward, once I used my acetylene wrench to get the caps unstuck. The old springs were sacked and the spooge that was in the forks barely deserved to be called oil.

I think I'm gonna need a new set of springs for the pogo stick, it bottoms out pretty easy. Other than that, I'm ready to ride!

Al, didn't mean to ignore your question about the dual plugs, that's the way the bike came to me, and I haven't had any issues with the set-up.

It starts easily and idles well, runs great but, in all honesty, I don't really rip on it. Like Newfie says, it's a great bike for cruising, not really a hi-performance piece.

The coil is clunky-looking piece, though, it looks like half an octopus with red tentacles!

RT, Check this out (there's others, I know, but this is a known good thing: )

http://www.exilecycles.com/new_products.htm

Go down a bit and look at the Rock Shox. Toss up a round oil bag and you'll be Cadillac-ing.

Gotta love a Shovel with a kicker,,,,squirt, squirt, find the compression,,,,here we go.

Good work indeed -- please keep us up to date on progress.

Bigdaddy: Thanks, that looks like a great addition! My pogo sticks bottoms out way too easily (hm, nothing to do with the fact that I go 235 on a good day, and I'm not talking MPH here!). I've had some correspondence with the guys at Kustom Culture about this product:

It seems to be about the same thing as the one you showed me, runs about $260. The heavy weight H-D spring set for the stock pogo stick is about $90. I'm looking for a cheap upgrade to the stock hardware before I plunk down that kind of money.

Anybody got any tricks they want to share?
