Wow, what a cool article! Amazing how the Europeans, who really ride their bikes, think Buells are wonderful motorcycles. Americans, especially the press, just dismiss them. "If it ain't 600 lbs of chrome or 150HP, it's not enough for us, 'cause we're manly". I feel embarassed at the moment to be viewed this way by real riders. I love my Firebolt, but was getting sucked into feeling defensive from the Cecil-style attacks, and wondering if it should have more power. I think I'll get off my butt and go put on some miles and smiles. | ||

Please don't let Cecil and his type make you feel bad about owning a Buell. They are kick-ass bikes that have gone from being basically hand-made garage specials to really trick, beautifully crafted, semi-exotic street machines. The Firebolt is a super cool machine and the new Lightning will be awesome as well. Enjoy your bike and screw what anyone else says. I for one am tired of making excuses and apologizing for loving my Buell. I love my Buell. Get over it.....you hear me Cecil? | ||
