Okay, most test articles on motorcycles will tell you 1/4 mile times and speeds, but I want to know what is a good launch at the drag strip? For this you need to know the 60 foot times. So what is a good 60' time for a street bike?

I took the M2 to the strip on a test and tune night to see what it could do. The overall time was not great but since the bike is basically stock and it was very hot and humid, I thought it did okay. My question is how I launched the bike. My best launch was 2 seconds flat at the 60' mark. Is that good?

it's been a while since I've been to the strip, and I could be wrong, but I think your reaction time plays a part in the overall scheme of things. .5 s being a near perfect r.t., .5+ being slow and .5- being jumping the gun. 2s is by no means slow, but I'd think a bike should be closer in the 1.7s

just did a websearch.. cars running between 14-15s 1/4's run about 2.2-2.4 second 0-60' times.. not sure about bikes.
