well i did it, ordered the race kit from woodstock on tuesday. got stuck late working out in mountaindale on wed and missed out on bear mtn. exit 112 on 17 has some great rodes, we're definitely goin to have to get up there, maybe we can get bigblock, trac, arch, and possibly maybe tramp(isolaters yet?, there's always the xr) to make a run. the roads out there are worth it, if they were fun in a gutter truck they'd be a blast on a bike. when do you plan on signin up for the penguin school? i'm a go for it, possibly my bud john on the 636 as well (he really needs it, says he keeps freezing up and this guy is no wuss, when he's scard it's usually for a reason). john left on sunday because he just felt off with the bike, said he kept gettin the willy's, bad mojo. when i told him trac went down 5 minutes after he split it hit him pretty good. trac95, if your out there how you feelin anyway? any word on the bike? |

this sunday's out for me, i'll be down the jersey shore with the extended family for a few day's. anytime you got the itch your welcome to the xr, just be prepared (not sure what your bike background is beside the obvious) the xr has a way of making you do things that later on don't seem like they were such a great idea (i love bikes like that). it seems to ride better on one wheel anyway! sat might be a possiblity though depending on the number of estimates i get hit with. |

that's mighty nice of you, mike.however, the only way i'm ever borrowing a spin on your xr is with the pleasure of riding with, you as well. thank you. i doubt hammer's into any major riding this weekend, and that vfw is near enough to my home that i can ride the rat there with no problems. hammer- you have my #, i hope you feel better, and i definitely understand if you're in too much pain to go anywhere. cheers, guys- -jay |

Hey guys, I met with the adjuster at the dealership. It looks like it will be totaled. I'm not sure how much I will get. I don't think I'll be able to ride this Sunday. Hopefully I'll be on another Lightning soon. Hope to see you all at Buell day. When i'm sure I have another bike ,I'll sign up for Penguin. I'm pretty sure I'll make it. Hammer, speedy recovery! I don't envy you! |

"I met with the adjuster at the dealership. It looks like it will be totaled..." As soon as you have agreed to a settlement amount (doing it before may be a bad idea) ask if you can buy the wreck for parts. You might be surprised how cheaply you can get it. It's a great way to pick up a project or track bike or to get some marketable parts. You can sell parts to friends at well below market prices and get your money back. Jack |

salvage titles are fine for registering and riding the scoot yourself. |
