How about when:

'All in the Family' was funny

You never heard of Vinny Barbareno

Mrs. Peals wasn't gray

Catwoman was on TV (go Batman go)

'Freebird' didn't make you groan and ask Why again, huh?

Oh, and When motorcycles were considered dangerous, and sex was safe

- When you thought Mrs. Cleaver was the coolest mom in the whole world.
- When you wished Mary Ann could get rescued from the island and move next door.
- When your rotated tires in an X pattern, and included the spare.
- When your first ratchet and socket set made you a mechanic.
- When an around-the-block ride on your brother-in-law's BSA Gold Star was a life-changing experience.
- When you first gapped the valves on anything.
- When Penzoil was the best lubricant you could get.
- When you cleaned the chain with a toothbrush and kerosine.
- When the Three Stooges was considered violent.
- When Laurel and Hardy were hugely funny, and you didn't understand Abbot and Costello at all.
- When turntables were called record players.
- Shellac 78 rpm records.
- The spindle adaptor for 45 rpm records
- A lap full of 8-track tape
- Quadrophonic sound
- When Boris Carloff and Bela Lugosi were the scariest men on Earth.
- When sex was safe and motorcycles were dangerous.
- When nostalgia was what it was cracked up to be.

Does anyone remember when every hardware store had those tube testers?

Remember when your dad would send you out to spin the huge TV antenna clamped to the side of the house?
"OK, that's good, just stay out there..."

Remember when your favorite TV show came back for the new season with the statement "Now In Living Color"?

Remember the old Indian head test pattern you would stare at waiting for the broadcast day to begin?

Remember Spyrograph?

Can you still sing the Frito Bandito song?

Remember when you would get your oil checked and your windshield cleaned when you went to the gas station?

Remember Hai Karate colonge?

Remember Dippity Do?

Remember when dirtbikes had 4" of rear suspension travel?

Remember cigarette commercials on TV?

Remember when guys on Harley's use to make fun of people that rode Japanese bikes?

Remember when Japanes cars were crappy?

Remember when anything Japanese was crappy?

Yeah, I guess I'm starting to get old....

Att. Buellistic, I just read your above entry. very interisting. I thought you might like to know what sent me on the road to hell... I was raised on a farm, when I was about 12 yr. old I went out to my dads black smith shop and mounted a 1 1/2 HP briggs motor on a old western flyer bicycle. I have never been the same science. I hope to see you on the trail some day. good luck cowboy

You know you're getting old when you don't need to stand on your head in the morning to take a leak.

You KNOW you are getting old when you recall...

When the H. A.s were outlaws and Presidents were pillars of the community...

You could ride your dirtbike on the dirt and not have to pay admission...

When Drugs were hard to find...

When you could buy a home in Kali for a year's salary...

When Parents were expected to dicipline their children...

When taxes were low and the standard of living was high...

'Duck and Cover!!!'

TV repair men and milk delivery...
