when you guys said to get the k&n filter to go along with my wileyco exhaust and race ecm do you mean the pie shaped stock replacement, or some other setup? I was after more power. I am not so naieve to believe a filter is going to get it for me. well, ok maybe I'm a bit optimistic? is the reccomendation to gut the snorkle tube? Thanks, Dan |

Yes! Either the pie shaped K&N or some other K&N setup. The pie shaped is the quick, easy and economical way to go. The object is to let 'er breath. Commonly referred to as "gutting the airbox" Throw the snorkel into your box of parts you will never use but just can't seem to throw away, Reposition the IAT sensor, Do something creative with the oil breather hoses (now is the time to install a catch can), Install mini velocity stack (venturi ring HD #29179-88, @ $.95. ), Replace stock filter with K&N. Check out the Knowledge Vault or X-1Files (under Links) for more details and pictures. |
