I live in SW Fla. where it is hot as balls. I've been looking for the UMJ (Ultimate Mesh Jacket) and I stumbled upon Vanson's version. I don't work for Vanson, but I thought I'd let people know that they are updating their Ventmax "shirt". The first one is still available and offers movement of air through the mesh. Version 2 has padding in the shoulder and forearm and can accept a back pad. Version III (which will be shipped to me in a couple of weeks) has CE armor in it. I'll post an evaluation later.

I have the Vanson VentMax II Shirt (thanks Daves) an I really like it. Great jacket for city commuting in hot weather and stalled traffic. My only knock is the lack of an armor option for the shoulders and elbows. Got any pictures of version III? Didn't see any on Vanson's site...here's the Mark II

Not yet. They're shipping it to me in a few weeks. I'll post pics then.

I went up to the Vanson factory showroom and I was looking at the Vent Max shirts. The saleswoman showed me a III version and it seemed to offer a lot more protection. Very functional product and made in the USA. I will probably get one soon.
