i ended up with an extra three-day General Admission ticket, if you're planning on going to MotoGP at Laguna and haven't purchased a ticket yet. for sale at face value, i.e. $90. tickets ARE still available thru Laguna Seca (but for who knows how long), so if you need a three-day General Admission ticket buying mine isn't gonna save you any money, but it isn't gonna cost you any extra, either. i'll pick up the shipping to you, via USPS Priority Mail. ping me thru IM if you're interested. Blake, let me know if i should move this to the Classifieds. Ferris |

The only camping left is on a first come first served basis, I believe. The campground is also off site and a shuttle service gets you to the track and back. |

i.e., "general" camping. the shuttle service is not mandatory. |

from www.laguna-seca.com: "General Camping – 3 Nights (Th/Fr/Sat) Offsite location - Toro Park (lawn area, vehicles must park in adjacent lots - no tent trailers or motorhomes, shuttle service available to raceway) Open/Unimproved area, first come/first serve. Admission ticket required for duration of event." it doesn't say "no tents." |

besides, if you want to see MotoGP in America (for the first time in 11 years!), you'll buy my ticket, ride to Laguna, and make the rest up from there. live large, man. you don't REALLY want to miss this event JUST because you can't camp right at the racetrack, right??? |

courtesy of Tramp: "camping along the coast is cool as all he-double hockey stix, just stay south of carmel, not north. "excellent public restrooms at the 'crossroads' shopping center on rt. 1 in carmel, also on monastery beach, both on the far south side of carmel." |

live large, man. you don't REALLY want to miss this event JUST because you can't camp right at the racetrack, right??? Sorry, i just can travel 2500 miles, and hope to find a place to sleep, just not my style, normally i would consider it, but there are 140,000 other people out there, and if i dont have a place to stay, i can always wait till next year, it would be cool, but its not going to kill me sorry, if i figure something out, will let you know thasnk R |

If I had the time to make it over there... I'd chain myself to my bike in a walmart parking lot and sleep on the pavement right next to it. Finding a place to sleep is easy... I've slept under bridges, on picnic tables (be sure you find a wooden one, the metal ones get COLD ) and I've got a picture somewhere of me sleeping directly under a sign in NM that says "Danger - Poisonous insects and reptiles are abundant. Do not camp here." (Message edited by m1combat on June 23, 2005) |

first time i went to Sturgis i was in the same mode, no plan, makin' it up as i went, many offers of lodging once i got there, "hobo" camped one night in the forest up above Spearfish (glorious!), shared a cabin with friends in Lead one night (on the floor but i was warm and dry and a shower felt great), spent one night in the restaurant at a truck stop in Rapid City (waking up occasionally to ask for a refill on my coffee), and it all worked out. there's ALWAYS a place to stay. btw: FIND THE TIME. |

Yeah... I know... I'm such a devoted race fan I really ought to kick myself for not going (btw, you're welcome to at O'fast (and no, I don't expect you'll back out of the opportunity )). I'd LOVE to, but me and Rachel are moving into a large and beautiful house in a great location up here in Prescott. The only drawback is that my driveway won't drop me off right at the start of the Spars. I'll have a 2 car garage though, so I can rebuild my 351 Cleveland for my Mustang and I can build a chopper for Rachel . |

houses are, like, important and all, but this is Moto-freakin'-GP! i mean, like, first time in America since you were 12!!! sure your house can't wait a week? grab another ticket online for Rachel while you still can, buy mine, and BOTH of you get yer butts out here for the party! sheesh Don, where are your priorities??? |

You have a point there... wink or not . My first memory is of laying in my little crib/basinette thing watching the Indy 500... Would have been about 1980... I've been glued to racing ever since... But I've never been to a real world class race. We are going to the USGP next year (assuming there will be one anyway...). |

But I've never been to a real world class race. DON!!!! next year's MotoGP will undoubtedly be cool, but it CAN'T be as cool as THIS year! yep, i'm leanin' on ya, and it ain't to sell my ticket. man, you've GOT to be there for this one! you've never been to a "real world class" race? this'd be The One, baby!!! c'mon Don, do the right thing. i don't care if you buy my ticket, that's not why i'm pushing so hard. i don't know your "house" situation, but if it were ME i'd shine on the house for a couple of days and do whatever i had to do to be in Monterey IN TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sincerely, Ferris F. Bueller |

I'm sure it's not to sell your ticket... It just won't work out at all. I have to fork over $1600 on the 8th to move in. I assume it would cost about $100 in fuel to get there, and probably another $100 for food/beer/etc and I'd have to fork out $90 for a ticket... I'd love to... But I don't see it happening... I'd need a new rear tire before I left too... The time thing is because I'd have to be back by Sunday night so I could work on Monday... I suppose I could take that day off though, I do have vacation days coming... I'd also have to sacrifice a double Dyno tune scheduled for next Tuesday... That's what ate the money. I wish it would work . Trust me, I really do... |

Glad he's "leaning" on you now instead of me Don! Thanks for taking some of the "heat" off me! Think of how he would have been if I had let him know that I've only set foot on a (M/C road) race track twice in my life and the first time there wasn't any racing! Oh-oh I'm in trouble now..... |

Just found out the Ex is taking the kids off my hands to Texas that weekend. Hmmmm, I suppose I could burn the rubber off the XB that weekend if the S3 still isn't on the road. Ok, if nobody else has picked them up yet I'll buy them. |
