I am curious to know if anyone knows where one could get the dual headlight set-up and fairing for the newer Lightnings? I think it would look killer on a tuber!!

I was thinking about doing the same think on my blast, but I was curious about the cost and just never followed up on it. Damn now I need overtime to kick in so I can buy them.

there are 3 light bulbs, common ground. one each high beam low beam, and running light. pretty easy to wire. 4 wires, any way you want them. in my application, i have the low beamconverted to an HID system, wit6h the ballast /ignitor hooked up to one of the SPARE FUSE positions in the fuse box, so that the low beam (HID) is ALWAYS ON when the ignition is on. the headlamp switch is thus only used to turn the HI BEAM on and off. the low beam stays on. the PIAA auxilary lamps on my fork tubes are connected via relay to the high beam circuit, so they switch on only when hi beams are activated.

Is the HID conversion worth the effort and/or cost? I've seen pics of VW cars that had both standard and HID and the cost was not worth the gain.

I'd like to have the HID auxilary lamps mounted on the base of the mirror stalks. I've seen some FJR1300 with them. Sweet.

I have a '98 Lightning that I have mounted a XB9S dual headlight to;you were right, it does look "killer".
I have to figure out how to re-size my pics. before I post my shots.
