Hi Gomo,

I may join you group the 25th for a ride.

Bear mtn. or Perkins. Sunday looks like the better day.

perkins IS bear mtn, it's the 'memorial drive' and the 'tower' at the top.
swell place for viewing the big apple, the hudson highlands, my home-hills (due west) and even some of the higher bldg.s in queens. swell spot for catching skinks, too

beautiful roads up there.

We have done the 44/55 loop a couple of times this year. Kind of a club favorite, plus we add Rt 213, 28A around the reservoir and lots of back roads in the area. We are planning a ride for July as well. Maybe we can set it up to meet in New Paltz and do the 44/55 ride then head down to Hawks Nest. I can check out some back roads so we can stay off Rt 209 (boring) as much as possible.

Just an idea.

Tramp,

If you can ride Sunday, it sounds like Buell12hundo, BuellUK, MikeXLR650 and I can ride. Pick a time and place. I don't know the back roads in this area.

Just got back from my ride up to Margaretville, Ny. Took the GWB over to NJ and took the palasades parkway up to bear mountain on sat. morning. From there I rode up 9W until I got to 44/55. Took this to north west until I ended up at 28a. Ended up at Woodstock HD for a break. There was a white 03 XB9R at the dealer. Then off west on route 28 to my house in Margaretville for some quad riding in the woods. Thanks for the 44/55 tip it was a nice road. On the way home I took 28 east to 28a to 213 to 209 to 213 to 7 to 299 into New Paltz. The rest of the way home I was on the slab. What a great weekend.
