Was wondering what saddle bags people are/have used on their tubers.... I found some "universal, sportbike" Joe Rockets.. The price eludes me at teh moment, but it seems they would work, MAYBE, if I trimmed the ridges on the bottom of the seat..... I ahve an X1...and trying to find a small amount of luggage has been a pain... Also, considering a universal tail bag and/or tank bag.... obviously magnetic mount wont work... I've been usin the Buell saddle bags for years, with great results . . . . . also, anything, and I mean anything from RKA is aces -- clearly designed by folks that ride -- give em a shout, tell em what ya ride, and they can hook you up, PDQ I'm running an expandalbe tank bag and simialr tail bag from those good folks -- high quality gear, designed by a soul that understands . . . . | ||

OKay, I should have mentioned that the Buell bags are no longer available, Ihave a buddy, who works at my local Buell/HD, and he checked for about a week.... He is my buell parts guru, constatnly hooking me up with crap...oh yeah, he rides one bad*** S1... Anyway, I will check those links you mentioned...BUT I will be taking this trip hopefully thursday..and I wont have the extra money unitl the 15th... Thanx for the input Chase | ||

I have a set of Tour Master bags (saddle, tank and seat bag. They work well. A lot of storage. I bought another air cleaner cover (tank) and permanently mounted my tank bag to it.  | ||

Chase Harper has some neat bags that may work as well. Their stuff is top quality and they have a "no questions" unlimited warranty. I mount my bags over the seat. There are a series of straps and clamps that are attached to the frame that will keep the bags from getting away. The tank bag detaches from the bag base and can be used as a backpack. When the seat bag is used it makes a nifty back rest for those long days of riding. | ||

My local shop has a set of Nelson Rigg, and I think I will go with them, knowing now that I dont have to trim my seet, they go over it..huh.... Now to figure out how to keep my spare helmet with me on these trips.....(I assume netting will work withteh saddle bags).... Thanx all... Chase | ||

I'll second the Nelson Rigg setup. Quality and low price. I've used them on everything from a Blast to a Ninja to an XB12R they work great. www.newenough.com has them for a good price. | ||

I bought some from Sportsmans Guide made and sold for snowmobiles that "custom fit" my X-1, and cost $35. I've got the Buell Peg seat and the saddlebags fit the hump like a glove. | ||

I use revpack luggage (saddlebags and tourbag) for the build quality and ease of use. Their adjustability will allow fitting to virtually all brands of motorcycles. The tourbag overhangs both sides of your seat and in my application interfers with the saddlebags when both saddlebags and tourbag are in use and this "interference" is due to MY application and is in NO WAY any fault of revpack. I usually use one or the other with no problem at all.
