I have wondered at a few peoples handles and how they came to be. I got Doughnut for two reasons. first was the obvious cop (wanna-be) reference. Second is the web cartoon "Red vs. Blue". When I was a kid I saw a movie called Metalstorm. I don't remember the movie too much, only that it was one of those post apocalypse, road warrior type films. The name stuck with me though, I just thought it was cool. Then back in 98 I started playing Ultima Online (yes I'm a fantasy geek) and I named my main char Tal Metalstorm. Tal is my three initials in real life & in the game it was short for Talis. The name just became a part of me. | ||

Well, my old nickname was "Chaser", earned it when I was a teenager, and it has nothing to do with drinks or women........ Anyway, it gto shortned to Chase, and I have been called that for the last 8-9 years or so, hell, even my family calls me that... So...chasespeed..well, old nickname, and always my hobby, trying to go faster, be it car, truck boat bike whatever.... So.. Nothing really creative...(actually I am not creative enough with nomikers(sp?) to come up with that , a woman who was in my life once did..) So... I don't actually remember...but I've heard the story a million times, When I was a toddler, about one or two years old, supposedly I was fat and round as could be, dimples on every joint. Anyway for entertainment, my older sister mostly, but my whole family would sing "Timbo, Timbo jolly little Timbo" and poke me in the belly (picture the pilsbury doughboy here). To which I would laugh and giggle till I fell on the ground. When I would get back up, they would start again, over and over. To this day, when she hasn't seen me for a while, or when she is particularly happy, she will say "TIMBO"! when she see's me. So when I first got online (many, many moons ago) I tried it for my aol name and it took. People online knew me as Timbo and it has carried over till now. Kinda lame, but true. | ||

Hi! My real name is Rob, I live in a swamp. I had to have a septic system put in last year, When they dug the hole for the tank they hit watersand and had to hold the tank down with the bucket to keep it from floating out of place. I work for the MDOT as a commercial vehicle inspector, and travel all over the state of Michigan doing so. I am one of the "Bus Busters" which has nothing to do with the handle Swampy! | ||
