Someone mentioned to me that they read an article on the internet (of all places) that Buell was looking at water cooled engines. I have never heard that before. In fact I thought I had seen Erik Buell on a video talking about the air-cooled engine as the deal for Buell Motorcycles. That's one of the things I like about my Buell.

Is there any truth to this idea of an eventual water cooled engine for Buell?

Only if it could be made as light and compact as an aircooled - lol

I don't think we'll see one before 2007. I believe it was some Anon who mentioned that even the current line of XB's exceed the emmissions' regulations for 2006.

Actually, they meet/exceed 2008 emissions.

Actually, they meet/exceed 2008 emissions.

And that's without a catalytic converter, which could always be added (like on some Euro bikes).

I had read a quote from Erik in an old copy of a UK magazine that they were within "a micron" of the 2008 California Standards, and would meet Euro 3 but it may take a catalyst to do that.

Personally Koz, I'd like what it looks like. Partly cloudy. Don't wanna be racin' around and squintin' and stuff : )
