FLASH! I went by the factory tonite, and the doors were mistakenly left wide open. What I saw would curl your toenails. Street legal, Hydrostatic drive, V5 liquid cooled, Carbon fiber fuel in frame GP bike with bold new graphics! Get a life and wait two more months. |

" Carbon fiber fuel in frame" I think that would be VERY nice ... Maybe get a Ferrari F1 Engineer on it (unless you already have someone ). They ARE running a CF gearbox you know... |

Guys...don't beat up on them too hard. It's difficult to know what's coming and to keep it in. The fact that they as a group discussed it and decided not to let the secret out shows respect for the company. But what fun would it be to know what's coming and not gloat a little? Anon here is trying hard to throw them off the track, but it's not hard to tell the difference between what might be a R&D project vs. a production model. As I said before - those that know won't tell...and I'm keeping quiet. |

Actually, the men and women of Badweb have become, in a sense, "Buell Insiders". We'd had some discussions in prior years regarding variations on the "say nothing prior to public intro" policy. Considered opinions, on both sides of the coin, were expressed. When the discussion was over it seemed the entire group, those who concurred and those who differed, with Buell's practice has been respectful and supportive. Chalk it yet another another reason I like the world of Buell. Court |

Well said Court (well, at least the point was - we never said Court was great at grammar) Chalk it yet another another reason I like the world of Buell. Just picking on ya'! I think the idea of the post was to encourage people to get excited...that there is something new and exciting on the way... |

Good post Court. I still think it would be cool for them to write down what they saw, put it in a sealed envelope, and unveil it at ~11 PM or so the day before the models are officially announced (seems like Buell updated the website with new models about midnight last year). The "unveiling" should show the scanned image of a handwritten, dated, paper signed (at least with BadWeb signatures) by all of the witnesses to the unintentional (or not?) "leak". We'd all have a lot of fun with this one way or the other, the day the 2006's are unveiled. Rocketsprink and pals will either be hailed as the best secret-keepers ever or lambasted as being completely full of it. What do you say guys? How about a BadWeb "pre-official unveiling event"? Or mail a copy to Court...he can hang on to it and validate it when the time comes...and I'm sure he already knows what's going on with the factory so we can trust him... |

I would go along with that concept. Make it a contest and send the assumptions to Court or a designated hitter and have he/she announce the winner(s) after the dealer meeting. Make it funny like a "Buell 007" Spy award certificate for the winners and a "Third Eye" sniper hole for the losers (ie: caught spying and filing an erroneous report to "M" ) which will be mandatory for them to wear on their foreheads at the Homecoming and other Buell events this summer. |

I can hang in there for another couple of months while I ride my M2, which I still enjoy by the way. I'm actually looking forward to seeing a production KTM RC-8 more than anything. So, does the Buell factory have a chocolate waterfall? oompah loompahs? maybe Erik-vision? Do the snozberries taste like snozberries in there? |

Cool, if we can get them to do it, they should also post a photo here of the sealed envelope ASAP so that we "know" they actually did it. |

Remember guys we didn't see a bike.We saw parts thats it.And also a color HEheee!!!That doesn't mean we know what type of bike. But if you insist I'll seal a envelope with what we did see and report back at a later time.Court knowing you,you already know whats coming and your lips are sealed.} |

I'd be happy to hold the envelope, but let me tell you something many of you already know...I don't know and go to extraoridnary means NOT TO. Both Dave Gess and I have adopted a policy, see the earlier Xmas day analogy, that we prefer the surprise to jeoprodizing any of our friends. Erik and I do not talk about this stuff. We talk, but this stuff is not any of my business. and we seem to have plenty of other hot topics to keep us occupied. What I do know is the "personalities" that are at work on what we will be riding. I have about 3 dozen "close" friends at Buell. Each and everyone of them is passionate and puts their heart and soul into doing their best. The result has never failed to reflect this. I'm both as excited and as "in the dark" as you. Sure, I have some ideas and can't wait to see how close my guesses are. Court (counting the days) |

reminder we (as in the group goin for a group ride) didn't plan this, it was just a place that came up as a regrouping place after we got separated do the some cage traffic. And the pictures tell who was there, the Belle City BRAG group! So maybe we are the closest as far as a ride to the factory, let us share our ride with ya. I was going to start a thread on weekend BRAG group rides so those who can't ride do to weather etc, etc. can at least see what others are doin and see where other Buellers are riding. BUt the factory stop was vveerryy interesting..... |

Coolice- whatever became of the sealed envelope containing the sworn statement of what you guys saw at the factory? Court volunteered to hold it for us. I was just thinking its contents would make for some lively discussions on July 23 after the new models are revealed. |
