I have a 99 Cyclone in excellent condition and a 03 XB9R. I've been playing with the idea of trading both in on a XB12S. Cutting down on up keep and insurance. I also have a Road King and Suzuki DRZ400E to take care of. Problem is I love that 99 Cyclone. I bought it while stationed in Italy. It's been an excellent ride, and they don't make them any more. I thought the XB12S could be a do all bike for me. Long hard street rides and a few track days a year.
Maybe I should just keep things the way they are. What do you guys think? Would it be worth it.

My general feeling is that more is always better when it comes to motorcycles. I currently have 5 so I am probably not a good person to ask. There isn't a week gone by that I don't miss my m2low and 01 wide glide that financed my move to MN. Have tried to get both back but current owners won't budge

Picture yourself 10 years from now...
Do you see yourself missing the Cyclone, or thinking what a great move selling it was?

I know a lot of guys that moan about the "insert classic car name here" they use to own, and how much they miss it, and regret selling it.

That said, it's easier for me to imagine a third bike in my garage than it is to imagine just one!

Sell the XB9 and use the money to beef up the cyclone. 100" S&S motor would be a good start...

Are you married? Maybe the wife could work some overtime so you could keep your M2?

I have an '02 Cyclone among other fine steeds in the stable. Others will come and go, but hopefully the M2 will remain. Rarely see the tubers around and I'm according it collector status.

Keep the M2.

I don't miss my 1968 Shelby GT350 at all! Period!
It was just a car, what was I going to do with it? Drive it? As I have been getting older I have been throwing out all my old stuff, making my life simpler, spending more time on the important stuff.

Sell the suz and cyclone and bigbore the xb9 with stage 3 heads etc etc. Makes a better track bike than a xb12.

Last night I sat in the garage looking at the bikes. What am I thinking. I'm keeping all my bikes.
Thanks for the input though.
If HD or Buell made dirt bikes I'd get rid of the Suzuki for one. But that DRZ400E is one bad thumper.

I'd rent a 12S for a week or two first to get a good feel for her and see how she stacks up to the Cyclone. It sounds like you already have a good setup. A Cyclone for all around riding and an XBR for romping around.

If you've got the space to keep it, don't sell it. I try not to sell any of my bikes (and haven't yet). If I want a new one I save up for it. Selling an older one is not going to change my life financially. If I don't sell and it means I have to wait a little longer to save up for the new one then so be it. More is better at least when it comes to bikes.
