i have accepted a job working for another county in michigan. its not to far of a move, only about 20 minutes away from where i live now. but its better pay/insurance/retirement than what i have now. the only down side is that my vacation starts over and i wont be able to go on any fun trips this year. i'll be going from 3 weeks back to 5 days. nothing i could do about that... its sort of a bummer since i had been thinking of doing a few of the badweb trips. i guess they'll have to wait till next year.

my old duties involved miscellaneous appraisals studies heading up a team of 2 people. my new duties include primary appraiser for all commercial and industrial properties with an office staff of 8 people. it should be interesting, wish me luck.

maybe its time to get a new bike.. hmmm.

i live in Petoskey. i'll be working in the Charlevoix area. but i have friends in grand rapids and family in the detroit area that i visit quite often. when it comes to bike riding i'm up for anywhere really. i ride in the evening after work probably 2-3 nights a week. and i do the occasional long ride on the weekend.

I will be in Traverse City this weekend....

Going to the Blessing in Baldwin. Sort of a tradition with my dad.

Congrats on the new job. Petoskey and Charlevoix are nice areas.

Hay were you riding near Bellaire last weekend? Cause i saw a 9R around M-88 and US31... just curious.. My family has a cottage in Bellair. Right off M-88 on Intermediate lake...

I will have to keep ya informed when ever i am up there. I will be there this weekend. but i don't know if i am bringing my bike.. cause it is the Golf weekend w/ my father, grandfather, and uncle. But if you are up for it, i will try to bring the bike and we can get a ride in maybe saturday.. but we are golfing friday, saturday, and sunday.. so it would be later on in the day saturday..

i was out this weekend. but i was in and around cheboygan, up to the bridge, then back through harbor and on to petoskey.

i have a white xb9r, the buell vanson jacket and the black blue and white helmet. i do know of a few other buells in the petoskey area. Buell_brad lives in the area, along with another guy with a black tuber (sorry, i don't know what kind) that goes to college here in petoskey.

i'd be up for a ride this weekend. we've gotten some rain here he last few days. i'm not sure what the weather will be like. but i bet m-119 (lower shore drive) would be a nice ride.

Well if it is raining much this weekend i will not be taking the bike. Just cause i have a cold coming on and i really don't want to drive 200 miles in the rain while feeling like crud.. we will see what we see. If not there is a nice summer fast approaching us.

sounds like a plan. Dont think the wife has anything planned for me. Thursdays are iffy with work. Saturdays are best for me. But I can try for next thurs. the 26th right. let me know where and when. I just started riding this year in michigan. last year was first year riding, and I was in ohio for the summer for work. I am not to sure where good riding is except for up north.
