I pulled the cover without remoning the timing sensor. thus I removed the first cam with it.

I thought, no biggie I'll just put it back in according to the timing marks.

I had no idea the lifters couldn't be pushed up to clear the cams even when they are not on the ramp.

so now, I turned my 1:00 hour job into a full, tank and valve covers removed PITA. I refused to unbolt the rocker assemblies. So I'm just compressing the valve springs and putting the cams back. I am on the very last forward most cam. it, unfortunately is "on the lobe"

Am I in for a world of hurt, or will it be possible to get the cover back on when I am done.

Just back off the rockers since you've got that far anyway. You'll have less hassle that way.

d -- you CAN ease things back on, but pay heed to Mike's suggestion , , , , only eight bolts or so to loosen, no big deal (put the new gaskets in while you in there?)

will I then need to replace the seals under the rocker assembly?

shop has allready replaced gaskets once under warranty. I suppose I need another set.

Thanks
