A 20yr. old was killed yesterday in my town after losing control of his suzuki and being thrown from the bike and hitting a roadsign. This happened less than 2 miles from my home on a road I travel all the time. I just been up the same stretch 15 minutes earlier. Seems he was in a group and somehow lost it and was thrown from the bike and hit a sign. he was the only one of the group wearing a helmet, but died at the scene. The road is 45mph, but many riders fly thru this section{not me because of a ticket thru there once}. His estimated speed less than 1/4 mile from the light was over 100mph. The press said he was in full gear and helmet. I saw the sign last night, it has a really bad bend in it. If he hit with his body, no wonder he is dead.
