One of our BRAG members was on his way home from last weekends Hell's Angels poker run when three turds in a pickup thought it would be fun to run him off the road. He was on a section of road that went from two lanes down to one when these guys came along side him (they were in the lane that was ending) looked him in the eye, smiled and then turned into him. They managed to cut him off and stop. The driver and hus buddies then proceeded to get out and start messing with him. The busted his windscreen of of his XB, and from what I understand busted up his front fairing as well. He was going to try to defend himself against the driver and then the other two stepped in, so he had no choice but to flee. Luckily, a good samaritan stopped by to help him out and got the tag number of the truck. Turns out the truck belongs to a business in Las Vegas, but of course the cops won't give too much information right now. The rider was an ex Nevada HiPo officer of all things!
What a day! I just wonder what would happen in the Red and White found out about the whole deal?

Gawddammit Nick!

I hope that SOME thing can stick to these ***wipes in the truck. Hope that they can pin something to these idiots. Thank goodness that he sounds like he has a witness and a plate. Now hopefully he can positively ID the jackass.

I hate hearing this stuff - really do

Pretty crappy to pull that 3 against one B.S. A pistol would have evened the odds. Assault with a deadly weapon (pickup truck) ends with dead dumb- full of holes and passengers with soiled underwear.

Cops won't (or can't) do a damn thing in a vehicular altercation, as it is your word against the other guys (who has more witnesses).

Will do guys.... as soon as I have some more details. I think the cops have been to the business, and it seems that the particular driver was identified and has a history of violence. Now, if he will give his buddies up!

We just had a retired man from out of state in Milwaukee that was jumped by two guys while trying to get directions at a gas station. He pulled a gun from under his car seat and killed one of them. The police here didn't charge him with anything. Not even a conceled weapons charge. He spent a week in Jail while they sorted things out and then just let him go.

Hey Vegas-I say find out where he lives, get a bigazz group of tattoo'd, hairy, gorilla's and just cruise up and down the street in front of his house, all the while have him sit infront on his bike. Wonder how fast the police would come then, oh don't forget to bring the witness.

Buncha dumb&U@& rednecks in a truck. Single him out and he'll cry like a baby.

sounds like a check in the PRO column of the Pro's and Con's list for carrying a gun while riding. Totaly self defense in that situation. Assault with a deadly weapon on the truckers part.

not saying shoot the guy driving the truck, but whipping out a gun probably would have been enough to get them to get back in the truck and drive away.

or if your in that kind of mood, shoot him, right in the leg

Nononono... Right between the eyes. If you have a reason to pull the trigger, you either have a reason to kill someone or you don't. NO grey area at ALL.

If you don't have a reason to kill someone, don't even draw. Put your hand on the gun and undo the snap sure, but do not draw unless you are threatened AND you can not run.

NEVER shoot to harm. EVER. They will own everything you do or ever will every time.

Hey Don... I will be sure to remember that! I think is we find out where the business is that will be enough.
We had a local scooter dealer here screw a rider during the christmas season. After the whole sportbike community got through with hate mails, obscene phone calls and parking bikes out in front of his shop, the guy refunded the money and kissed some major booty. He begged us to leave him alone!

Hows things in Prescott?

I had two brothers that lived in Vegas back in the 70's...one afternoon we were out cruising around and I noticed a fancy wood stock on the back end of a pair of snubby barrels under the drivers seat..."oh, that's for rabbits..."

On another occasion, my brother was leaving his GF's house one morning and noticed fluids all up and down the gutter...turns out that 'someone' had severely perforated a neighbors car with high speed lead projectiles as a sort of 'warning' about his nocturnal visits to a certain house...

While I was visiting brothers in Vegas, there was an 'incident' at a local bank that left a crater about 10' deep and 20' around in the parking lot.

Lake Mead is very deep, the desert is 'expansive' with lots of hot sand and deep crevices where often things are lost and not found...Vegas is a great city to visit often, keep your nose clean and MYOB!!

You mentioned he was returning from an HA poker run. Just call HA and ask them do a sit-in in front of the business. They love to do favors.

One of my riding buddies did it once in Laguna Beach, CA. HA simply rode in and parked in front of the business, actually most of the block, for a few days.

They were extremely legal in every detail and patronized the local businesses to keep them from getting upset. However, the clown that owned the business they were doing the sit-in for lost a lot of customers and was scared poopless.

Interesting how that works, eh?

Hey, I'm a redneck in a pickup truck - but I don't do crap like that.

I just wish I'd been there. Two vs. three is completely different from one vs. three.

M1's right; if that thing clears leather (or plastic in my case), it's bad news for everybody involved. Don't bluff.

BTW, my understanding of WV laws is that if you are legally carrying concealed and clear your jacket or shirt so that the weapon is visible, you can be charged with brandishing. Don't know about other states.

Good luck,
Bill

your absolutely right Xring. at least in michigan. if you even show that you have a weapon on you you can be charged with a felony. you are to keep it concealed until it is needed, and it better be for fear of your life. 3 honkeys breaking your windscreen and fairing is not enough. now if they had said that they where gonna brake you next... then you can pull that puppy out. i help teach classes in northern michigan to get your permit to carry a concealed weapon. its almost to dangerous to have one if you don't keep your right mind. there are also to many restrictions on where you can't take a fire-arm.

stadiums= no
bars= no
schools= no
any public function where the possible population is over 2500= no
not telling a police officer that you are carrying immediately after being pulled over = prison for you
and if you do pull your piece and use it. you better be able to explain just how you were afraid for your life. or you will be charged with murder. but again. this is michigan law. other states are probably different.

ok i will be holding a rider safty program at the homecoming.. "learn to kick, punch, throw, and literally beat the tar out of your assailent....

The problem about being a Black Belt (seriously) is if ever you do get into a fight and the police (authorities) ever find out your abilities you will be slapped w/ cuff ASAP! unless you can prove that the situation wasn't prevoked... nice huh? 15 years of my life dedicated to self defense, but when you use it you get in trouble...
nice situation huh?

Funny story out of Ingam County, Michigan. A neighborhood cop wan-to-be walking his family in the trailer park steps out in front of a speeding van and tells the guy to slow down, the guy in the van says a few choice words, and the want-to-be informs him that its against the law to swear infront of women and children and that he is placing the van driver under arrest for swearing infront of women and children. The van driver simply drove further into the park to drop off his passengers. On the trip out of the trailer park the want-to-be steps in front of the van and tells the driver he is under arrest. The van driver told the want-to-be that he had three seconds to move or get run over, three, two, one, hammer down, thump, thump, and the van driver is sitting in Ingham County jail. The moral to the story is "Don't Play in the Street when you are playing cops and robbers"

Blackbelt.. Damn, I hate missing a good lesson on important things.. Oh well..

Here's a story or two... In the same vein..

Once years ago, a group of 4 drunk idiots piled into their Bronco and headed down town to 'Kick some Faggot '.. They cruised around near a well-known gay/lesbian club and waited until the 'right' victim came out (i.e.: alone). As this gentleman was approaching his car, The leapt out, two of them with baseball bats, ready to do their deed. Their prey was heard by a local witness (it happened in front of her house) to loudly tell them they didn't wish to continue what they were doing. They didn't listen. He sent all four of them to the hospital. Turns out the gent was a high level practitioner of one of the more 'strictly combat' arts and was more then a match for them. He was later charged for 'not informing them of his status as a black belt / lethal weapon.' In court charges all against him were dropped since no reasonable man could be expected to stop and explain the facts while individuals with deadly weapons were attacking him.

Next tale.. During a previous life of mine, I was working near a parts warehouse when an attractive young lady with a Karate gi rolled up under her arm came out to a vehicle and put it inside. We started chatting, whereby she informed me that her boy friend was her instructor. In the course of our conversation she told me she was taking Tae Kwan Do. I mentioned that if memory served me, that it was one of the more aggressive of the arts, since you take the fight to your opponent. She argued that is was only defensive and not offensive. Then boyfriend came up and demanded to know what was going on. I gave him my view on the art and he said that it's not aggressive at all! Now get away from his woman or he'd kick my ! WOAH, what? Huh? I tried to clarify my statement, but he wouldn't listen, he informed me:
"I'm a 3rd degree black belt and I'll kill your freaker !"
I took a step back and was a bit concerned. I asked if he really meant what he had just said. He assured me he had no problem with killing me. I asked if he really wanted to fight me, someone he doesn't know, over a matter of semantics? He affirmed. I said, something to the effect of..
"Fine, I'll let you pick the time and place so you have a chance to put your affairs in order."
"What? What do you mean by that?" He yelled, turning red in the face.
"I mean that when we're done, you will be leaving in a bag, so I want you to have the chance to make the proper arrangements." I stepped half a step back and slid my right hand to the edge of my jacket.
" You! Right here, right now!"
"So long as you’re sure you can stop a 230 grain .45 caliber hollow point.. Not a problem." I slid my hand under my jacket to the rear of my hip.
Cursing he grabbed the girl who was looking on at our little display in disgust or fear, not sure which and shoved her into the car. Then drove off without so much as a 'by your leave'.

There's a moral to that story.. I'm sure of it..

Later.

'There's a moral to that story.. I'm sure of it..'
There are lots of morons out there.
A buddy of mine was in a bit of a hurry on his bike. There was a red light and he filtered to the front of the pack. Lite goes green and he rips away. Lane sharing is not legal here. But he did not get in anyone's way or cause a problem of any kind. A few min later when he comes out of the drug store there is a guy with a girl parked by his bike. The guy says 'I saw what you did and it is illegal!' My buddy says 'are you a cop?' No he says, 'did I cut you or anyone else off?', no he says. 'So, then what is your problem?' 'Well it was illegal, etc...'. So my buddy gets a coin out of his pocket drops it on the ground and says 'call a cop' and rode away. Moron

Here's where I draw a wide, gray line:

There's illegal and there's ILLEGAL

Lane splitting with a hot motor in stalled traffic (where illegal) - I'd "break the law" too.

Coming after somebody with the intent to do harm? That's ILLEGAL.

I live in Palmdale - you may have heard about the punk 13 year old that killed the other kid with a baseball bat. That's ILLEGAL A punk (adult) threatening to beat the snot outta somebody, that's illegal (and really stupid unless you're 3 steps out of reach and can draw and fire your gun while backing up 2 steps).

Well here's my story. I once single handedly turned back an alien invasion.

See, these ants were in the kitchen...and I said, "Stop, I am in fear of my life"...then I sprayed them with Raid.

No charges were filed and the DA issued a statement saying that I had a right to kill those ants.

Killing domestic animals in Michigan is ILLEGAL A guy I know was charged with 2 years for dispatching his dog after the fact, for biting his child. There were however, no ants involved, only an uncle. There was no alien invasion only bright lights in the sky.
Does that count?
