for those that aren't aware of the bike, that is a real life rendition of Kaneda's bike from the classic Anime AKIRA it definately falls under the catagory of Geeky. Dorky would have been if they remade Tetsuo's GS500e : D

Has anyone made a full-size version? I'd love to see some aerodynamic testing...

I think it deserves a buell sound... :wink wink:

The movie is killer!
I like the part where the Chopper Clowns are fighting the Sportbikers.

P0p: check out the links i provided... several people have made full size versions of kaneda's bike... some of them work and some of them don't.

Glitch: i agree... it's one of the best animated movies i've ever seen! (along with everything hayao miyazaki has ever made.)

yup. definitely a geek.

I've always dreamed of making a working replica of this bike and still plan to someday. I'm glad to see some people have already and that there are some BadWeb members as geeky as me to know the movie.

there is no geekyness to that movie, one of the best anime movies IMHO. What other movie depicts reality, and the absence of it so clearly.

When tetsuo starts trippin in the hospital and the little toys turn into big cars, and walls turn into lego blocks and yea, its straight up trippy to the MAX.
