OK, I've got a spare blank but it would appear that the local key makers need to know what size attachment to use. I guess there are different size cutters. Does anyone know if the Buell key matches up with another auto manufacturer or know what size cutters are needed?

I don't know the answer but a good locksmith should be able to do the job. I just went to a real locksmith and they didn't have any problems cutting a key.

I have had several motorcycle keys made in the past if I didn't have a spare. I got the blanks and keys cut at a good locksmith. It may take a while but if they have all the books and know what they are doing the key should be as good as any other.

I generally avoid going to a hardware store for any keys I have made...locksmiths have good advice to keep a good extra for future key copies and how to care for the locks.

I took a Buell blank to a locksmith and had no problem having a 2nd key made using the original key as a guide. Only $2.00 also.

I went to Bike Week and had no problems having a second key made. Of course that was bike week and they were already set up for my type of coke dispenser key.

I had a barrel key cut for the Sporty at the locksmith, but no luck with the Buell key except through the dealer.
