The big bore kit?The big bore kit I'm think of,usally bumps you from stock displacement to 1250,1420 is a 88 cubic inch kit isnt it?My question was,a 88 inch kit should give you more RWH than just 95.I've talked to a few others doing the 88 kits on their XB's,and they are expecting much more RWH than 95.They're figureing on 120+RWH after getting it all mapped out. |

I think it was said earlier. He probably needs new pipes. I do wonder though, with a 1400 big bore, just how much do you give up in reliability with that. That said, I would love to ride that baby. 100 lbs of torque. Hang on!!! |

Hi guys sorry to butt in here but I have a question. If I were to put the 88ci kit on a xb9 that would give me 1225cc roughly by having 3.8125 bore and 3.125" stroke. Would this be a dangerously high rever? |

Have a friend that put a puched his to 88 cubic inches. His motor was built by NHRS,a couple of years ago,he has over 25000 miles on it now with no reliability issues. He rode it to Sturgis twice from KCMO.He has been pleased,he also wondered about reliability before he did his motor. |

Given the XB's propensity for throwing off heat from a stock motor, what heat issues have you 88" guys experienced ? I had Aaron build me an 88" in my old S1 tube frame and of course heat was not an issue back then. It was powerful and dead on reliable. Roll ons were awesome. But reading about the scalding heat nightmare of the XBRR I'm hesitant to go big bore on my XBTT without learning if I'm going to be dealing with even more heat than normal. I have an '08 TT and they run hotter than earlier XB's stock. |
