I rejetted my Cyclone w/FORCEWINDER today and was surprised at how loose the carb was on the intake. It felt loose enough to jiggle loose if it wasnt for the cables and fuel line holding it in place. Any others have that concern? Is there something that I should do, other than dont worry about it?

There is a bracket thats supposed to bolt on using the breather holes in your heads. If fits over the intake of your carb & the Force bolts onto that.

You should be very worried about it. Don't ride the bike until you put that bracket back on.

Here's a couple pics of what the bracket that holds the carb on should look like. The bracket is the black piece that sits behind the air filter plate (aluminum), it attaches to the heads where the breather comes out of each head and squeezes the carb back against the seal. I have the Mikuni carb and an aftermarket air cleaner but yours should look real similar. Like Djkaplan said, If your missing this bracket DON'T ride or start it again until you get it installed. Hope the pics help. Hodakaguy

WOW! I just felt like it needed something to keep it on.......So, guess that may have been my problem of cough all along? that 48 slo jet seemed to do the trick, but now I am not sure. I got a few extra parts with the bike, but dont remember a small black bracket, but will look HARD tonight. If not, I will be in the market for one, the riding season is HERE NOW!}}

George; if you've been riding around without that support bracket, I'd take a long, hard look at your intake seals as well. Leaks could have caused your lean cough.

It ran beautifully yesterday after I changed the jet, so I am hoping that the occasional leak was just in that rubber connector. I hope that bracket is in the box, but it is very likely that it was pitched????? If so, will anyone have a extra? Are they the same for all Buells and Sportsters?
