I wanted to personally thank all you guys for the information on my carb problem. I just knew it was lean at low speeds, but wanted to make sure I explored all the other possibilities before I upped the slow jet to the 48. I finally did it today (Tallahassee, Florida, beautiful day to ride, in short sleeves) and I was shocked, it ran perfect, not ONE cough, very clean acceleration and it even seemed to pull a bit stronger. ONE OTHER NOTE, it did not backfire any either. That was a problem before, not terribly concerned, but.....it disappeared George Penick

You want throttle response get a Mikuni. Seriously no matter what you do to the CV carb its always going to pale in comparison.

My Keihin whips a$$ after going to a 48 slow jet! No cough....instant throttle response! To get any better throttle response I would have to get a 954RR.... OH...did I say that out loud??

Just out of curiosity; what size jet did you pull out?

I replaced the 46 slo jet. someone mentioned that I may have just fixed an intake leak???? Guess thats possible, cause I was not impressed with the rubber boot, seems like it needs something to hold it on better, especially with the extra weight of a Forcewinder on????? COMMENTS on that loose carb????

George, are you using the stock black colored bracket that bolts to each head and holds the carb? Its very important to help hold the carb to the rubber manifold to prevent movement of the carb and any possible leaks. Just a thought. Bob
