When you’re setting the timing for max performance, do you need a HD
digital tech or can you advance or retard the pickup? It seems if you move
the pickup the injectors would be out of sync.

And what’s the best plug gap to run?

You move the pickup, yes it will change the start of the injection interval the same no. of degrees.
