I would like to change which directories are open and which ones are closed when I start Windows Explorer. No mater which buttons I push or which options I choose, the next time I open the program the default settings prevail. Help! |

I believe if you open your start menu, go to Windows Explorer, right click it, and choose properties, you can set the default folder for it to open. It's a long string, but at the end I think is the default directory. Just change it to C:\ or whatever folder you want it to point to... I'm on my Mac right now, so I can't verify. But I'm pretty sure that's right. Sean |

There's also a registry setting... I can't remember the label though... First google response for "windows explorer default location" - http://windows.about.com/od/tipsarchive/l/bltip139.htm |

Oh my God, NO! Not the Registry! I'm making progress. A complete report to follow. Thank you both |
