Is it really a 2.5 hr job to have the fork oil changed on a '01 XL1200S? That seems like an awful long time to me! I was just wondering if I got screwd or not. Thanks

I'm not questioning the knowledge of the people on this board (on the contrary) but I do believe you would get better answers at The XL Forum. This is one of the largest online Sportster communities on the net.

yes the sportster sport has adjustable suspension which requires (to do it correctly) "partial" dissasembly of the forks...which means, front wheel, fender, fork sliders, and pumping the dampening rod...where as on a stock sportster, its more like 0.5 hrs but most places will still charge 1.0-1.5
