Quoted from Aaron Wilson...
I have watched for some time as this guy, who wrote me a bad check for a set of heads, has posted here, biting my tongue the whole time. So I'm not shedding any tears over this.

I'm not going to bite my tongue about thieves who show up here anymore. People have a right to know.

This will be my one and only post concerning this matter. Thank God that I live in a country that presumes you are innocent until proven guilty. Maybe not on this thread but that is in significant compared to what is being dealt with behind the scenes of the media and so forth.

As to Aaron Wilsons statement that he received a bad check!!!..I can only say that "Aaron, you are a LIAR" and by posting it here you've sealed it. Here is what happened as far as my dealing with NRHS. During the winter of 2002-2003 I contacted Brian Nallin who had just moved to Colorado to become business partners with Mr. Wilson. I ordered a set of the new XB9 heads and pistons for a race project I was working on. I was given credit in the amount of $1100 for the project. I received the FIRST SET of XB heads ever produced by the Nallin Wilson partnership. They were so new that I could not take delivery until the end of the INDY powersport show as these heads were the ones used in the NRHS display at the INDY show. These heads were ordered to my spec at a 12.5/1 compression ratio with supporting 12.5/1 pistons and rings. The race season was less than 3 weeks away when I finally got delivery and were installed as delivered. The bike made TWO (2) 1/4 mile passes down the track and had a drastic loss of power. Upon inspection of the motor, it revealed that the valve seats had been cut way beyond their tolerances for the oversized valves installed and the valve seats had moved and distorted the aluminum in the heads beyond repair such as installing new valve seats. This happened to at least the first three(3) sets of XB heads that were done at NRHS and can be verified by Rick Cathcart-Jefferson City, TN, Andy Harper, Newport, TN, and Jon Perry(no relation) in Toledo, Ohio as the same immediate failure happened to their new XB heads. I have never dealt with Aaron personally other than seeing him at the INDY show when I took delivery of the heads. I had always dealt with Brian Nallin, even before his attachment with Mr. Wilson. I had a race season to contend with and I immediately had another set of heads prepared by another shop to keep me competitive in my racing endeavors. Upon further inspecting the heads that were provided by NRHS it was revealed that instead of a 12.5/1 compression, these were actually delivered at 10/1. Anyway, I was able to see Brian Nallin at the 2003 Denver race which was close to their shop. I told him at that time that I believe I was misled and would not be paying the $1100 that I owed NRHS because of the additional expense I had incurred in getting another topend together after not receiving what I had been promised. With my new and NOT NRHS setup I was able to win the 2003 Lonestar Nationals at Ennis, Texas. The winners check was $500. A mutual aquaintance of NRHS and myself, Mike Friberg, from Colorado was at this race...I endorsed my winners check and asked him to give it to NRHS. WHY, I still to this day don't know. I also told Mike Friberg to tell NRHS that the $500 was all they would receive from me based on the transaction and the problems involved with it. Soooooo, read into it what you will. I still have the XB heads with the valve seats half in and half out of the heads. I can post a copy of the CASHED AHDRA winners check for $500.00 that NRHS received and was the ONLY check given to NRHS for the transaction. I ask Mr. Wilson to substantiate his claim and assertion by posting any form of BOUNCED check or otherwise to this or any other forum that he chooses. And again I assert that he is a LIAR by his claim until he posts otherwise. Joe Perry/1320

This should not be posted here and taken to private emails/messages.

Aaron's posting should also be deleted until the allegations against Mr Perry (1320) are either confirmed or he is convicted of a crime.

This is not the place for private issues.

This board in my opinion has taken a sharp decline for the worse this past few months.

Press release from Traxxion Dynamics, concerning a Badweb member:

This guy came to our shop yesterday with an '04 R6 to have a shock mounted on his bike, and to have his forks built, and then to have the chassis setup before he went to the track. He hands me a Penske Triple Adjustable Piggyback that looked brand new. It had a Traxxion Titanium Spring, a Traxxion Fingertip High Speed Adjuster, and a Hyperco Hydraulic Spring Perch, all of which are products that are only available from Traxxion Dynamics. I thought, man this shock has everything we can throw at it to make it trick. He said he had bought it on the WERA Classified Board, and along with it, had purchased a Power Commander III, a Dynojet Quick Shifter, a Graves Titanium Pipe, and a set of Vortex Rearsets.

After the shock was mounted up, I went to set it up, and low and behold, the ride height was already set exactly where I would set it for Pirellis. Then I started setting the clickers, and they were set exactly how I would set them. Then it sorta hit, me and I asked the customer for the name of the guy on the WERA Board. He said "Joe Perry, I have the receipts out in the car".

I looked on our computers, we had never sold any of this to a Joe Perry. I went back to look at the bike again, I look down at the rearsets, and sure enough, there were notches in the tips of the footpegs that I had PERSONALLY filed into the pegs to add a little extra grip in the rain.

I knew then, that these were parts off of the racebike stolen from Jason Smith's raceshop last November. Smith owns Smith Brother's Harley Davidson, and his shop was broken into, and a complete R6 was stolen, a CBR1000RR that belonged to a local police officer (and racer, Jason Lewis), and several dressed out Harley road bikes. Total estimated loss was well over $100,000.

The customer of Traxxion who has agreed to cooperate with police, had receipts of the entire transaction, as well as the email trail, and the paypal account addressed to "Joe Perry." Oddly enough, to make sure he wasn't buying stolen parts, this innocent victim had asked for a VIN number on the receipt for the bike the parts were removed from. Perry is apparently so stupid, he put Jason Smith's complete actual VIN number off of the stolen bike and changed the last three digits. A check with Yamaha has confirmed that the VIN number supplied by Perry was invalid, and no such bike exists.

I was intimately familiar with all of the parts, since I personally handbuilt them, and served as Jason's suspension tuner in the FUSA Series during 2004. I called him up and told him I had found his stolen racebike parts, and knew the name of the guy who stole them. He said "NO WAY! WHO WAS IT?" I told him Joe Perry, and he nearly dropped the phone, and then asked me to tell him I was kidding. It turns out this Perry guy was a long time personal friend, and they had given him thousand and thousands of dollars worth of parts to help his drag racing effort. He even had a key to the Smith Brother's race shop! They allowed him to use all of their facilities to sponsor his drag bikes.

Anyway, Officer (and victim) Jason Lewis and a crew of other police got to raid Perry's shop and arrest him and throw his a$$ in jail! Sweet! They found the rest of Jason's bike dismantled and organized for sale, as well as tons of Harley parts from the Smith Brother's shop, and piles of Jason's take off tires nobody could figure out that kept disappearing. They filled a 7X16 trailer from front to back and from floor to the ceiling with stolen parts.

To top it off, they found a fully automatic UZI with the serial numbers milled off. This brought in the ATF, and the Feds came and put their hammer down on the guy this morning. According to Smith, who also buys and sells firearms, that one illegal weapon carries a felony conviction and minimum 10 years in prison.

Statement from Clay Wilwert, Wilwert's HD, one of Joe's sponsors:

Yesterday 2/24/2005 I received a phone call from Smith Brothers H-D in Johnson City, TN and the police department. I was informed that Joe Perry was arrested for posession of thousands of dollars in stolen motorcycles, parts and equipment. I could not believe this as we treated Joe like family and put a lot of trust in Joe as did Smith Brothers H-D. It is hard for me to describe my feelings as my day to day values on life (Integrity, Loyalty and Family) have been violated by someone who became a very close friend. Joe Perry/Acme Racing are no longer affiliated with Wilwert's Inc. Wilwert's Inc had no idea and was no part of this side of Joe. This is hard to take. If you have purchased something from Joe and feel it may have been stolen please contact Smith Brothers H-D at 423-323-9796. I will see you all in Gainesville. If you have a side like Joe please don't sucker the rest of us into being your friend, don't even come to an AHDRA event. Many of us can not tolerate this type of situation again.

Sincerely
Clay Wilwert

Are you indeed the person involved in the above situation?

If so, I strongly recommend that you remove the plank from your own eye before you try to tell anyone about a splinter in theirs.

Oh, and Newfie... I mostly agree, but everyone involved has posted tidbits and details publicly... The cat's outta the bag already.

First...I agree with Newfie. However, this guy is a crook. No if, ands or buts about it.

Taken from his local newspaper's online police reports:

Joseph Perry, 49, 3944 Bagwell St., Kingsport, possession of stolen property; alteration of permanent serial number; possession of prohibited weapon.

Sounds like Mr. Perry made his bail.

If the stories about mr. Perry are true then his brain lacks a certain functionality that should have told him not to come online, acuse someone else and defend himself.

Notice the topic? He read the whole first thread and still posted. I don't know if I could ignore the elephant in the room like that.

He lies as poorly as he steals ...

Doesn't show the person's name, but here's his invoice, notice how the amount matches:

Yes, we did receive $500, sorry for neglecting to mention that. Still owes us $680.77.

He may well have problems with the heads, I dunno, never got them back.

In Joe Perry's defense, he returned to me a check for payment of his used Millenium cylinders and pistons. Seems he'd rather not move anything until he's had his day in court.

I was pleasantly surprised, in all the commotion I'd expected to lose that one.

In his dealing with me he was a stand-up guy.

fwiw,

I think we are all learning a hard lesson. Airing this kind of thing on the board is likely to kill it. I've been wrong, and wrong about being wronged enough times in my life that I should have known better. My bad.

Joe,
Problems or no, you need to pay for the heads and if there are problems then work them out with NRHS. They will take care of you.

I hope you are innocent and the whole thing is a big misunderstanding and justice is served. But let's be clear on one thing; Aaron Wilson is no is very comfortable with the word liar, of that I am sure.

I'm closing this thread and expect that all parties involved will let it rest. Please.

Let's put the good back in BadWeB. Lord knows I need it.
