Jeremy,
The quick board is for "temporary" subjects, not sure of where the preferred location of this type of post would be. You do play "for fun" and not for 'gambling' purposes, right? ; )

I haven't played any live poker games for years, used to peeve people off with the way I play, been getting interested in playing again since there's a few local games around for fun and a casino down in town. I have been watching some of the events on TV once in awhile, kind of like golf where it's boring if you're not interested in the game. : )

What are your table legs made out of?

UHHHHH yeah if you say so. Let's put it this way. There's nothing illegal about cash in my house and we use poker chips.

FYI, i have invested almost 600 bucks into this table alone. I think a low stakes cash game is manditory to keep the poker edge and draw the people.

Talbe legs are made of both 3/4" MDF and Birch. I still need to rhino line them.

Any good books or web sites that you like giving the current applied basics of the game?

On the TV show I catch sometimes I like how some of the players will occasionally not show their hands to the rimshot camera and the moderators start making comments about it.

Looks like a nice table there. Should hold up well.

I have never played hold em but I do like a good game of 7 card stud or 5 card draw. Of course after a few hours the guys who are losing start playing stuff like day/night baseball which are pretty much pure luck.

I play online completely for free, with a chance to win real money in some of the tournaments, at www.jetsetpoker.com.

Sweet table...I love to play poker. I usually play low stakes ($3-$6) at the casino, play for free online at partypoker.com (look me up there...I'm BuellerXB9S), and usually once a month at a poker party at someone's home. It's funny how the tv has caused this new poker craze. I even saw 300 casino style chip sets at Walmart!
