I didn't have a chance to ride it far - just from the transporter's truck to my garage - but I can already tell that this machine has found a permanently place in my garage alongside my Dyna.

The seating position is *outstanding*. Every other sport touring bike I've ridden has placed my knees in an uncomfortable position or at an uncomfortable angle (bent too much).

The balance and weight are also *outstanding*. It makes both my former rides, a BMW K1200GT and a R1150RT seem like Goldwings in comparison.

I've ordered some accessories to allow me to move my GPS back and forth to this ride from my Dyna; also a thermometer. Now to add a +8 windscreen from Gustaffson plastics and the Kurakyan LED voltmeter. That should get me started. : )

Why would you need a +8 windscreen? You live in LA, not exactly cold. Plus the Gustaffsons plus sizes make your bike look like a pregnant whale. The Lockhart Phillips +3 from American Sport Bike is a much better looking screen and gives plenty of protection.

We pick up my wife's S3T tomorrow. I think I'm more excited than she is. Congrats Old Mil.

Actually, I live in Iowa, and it gets mighty cold here. If the had a +10, I'd order that. : )

Enjoy. I have a Zero Gravity windscreen on mine. It does a good job for me.

Old Mil,

Welcome. I have an '02 S3T as well. The zero gravity windscreen works well for me. Much better than stock. Look me up if you make it to Cedar Rapids.

Does anyone have any internet links to the Lockhart Phillips +3 windscreen? I couldn't find one. I did find the webpage for zero gravity - I'm guessing those of you with this screen have the sport-touring edition. How much taller than the stock screen is it?

Old_mil:
My Zero Gravity screen is about 3 inches taller than stock. The wind hits the top of the helmet instead of your chest. A little less turbulance for me.

Old Mil,

I do have the sport touring version. I would be happy to send you pictures. Let me know.
