Hi all, I'm trying to find out more information regarding my 98 S3t Thunderbolt carburetor. I believe it's a 27484-97y
I'm trying to find any information on it as I need to reset the float and mixture screw. Any information will be much appreciated.

I don't know the model, but it should be the same CV carb that comes on any M2/S1/S2/Sportster.

Same carburetor as on any Sportster of that year.
Should be easy to find on the internet.
NOTE; I find, because the rubber of the new float needles appear to be of harder material, I set the floats level, or slightly angled above, the sides of the carb when the carb is completely up side down.

Original poster is from UK, fellas!

That should make his bike an HDI (International) model, IIRC.

I recall finding a 1997 S3 HDI Carb (by part number) on my Domestic 1998 S3T.

I'd have to reference my old parts book to refresh my memory as the one online looks flaky (THANKS H-D!)...

I found some pics of the carb on my 1998 S3T Defender. Interestingly, it is the same part number 27484-97Y

From my research back shortly after I got the Defender, the -97Y carb came back as an International carb. Back then, I compared the components between that part number carb and what my parts book said was the proper carb for a (domestic) 1998 S3 carb, and bought the component parts to make my carb into the carb specified in the parts book. But the project stalled...

What the other posters stated is probably true - as long as the HDI carbs didn't have any differences in settings.
