I bought a bunch of 2000 buell cyclone parts including a tach and speedo unit. I'm wondering if it's a drop-in on my 99 cyclone that only has a speedo and no tach. I assumed that all 99 Cyclones came without a tac until I saw a youtube video of a 99 cyclone with a tac and speedo so I guess they came with tacs but mine didn't for some reason. so... can I just plug in the new tach-speedo unit in my 99 even though it came without a tach? THANKS

yes, you should be able hook that up. It was a pretty easy set up. it plugs right in.

EXCELLENT... thanks Bluebueller. I always wondered why mine had no tach. I thought that they all came with tachs.

They began adding the tach in 01-02 models IIRC

--->>>. They did not when we roller the M2 Cyclone out in 1997. A tach on a V-Twin is pretty much cosmetic and it saved a few bucks.

It was very welcome in 1998 when we rolled out the "Tach Kit".

It also yielded one of the funniest stories in Buell history when our efforts to make the bracket for the M2 Tach Kit kind of tossed us a few curves during durability testing.

Hey Court: I see you live in NY City and have a pic of the 9/11 light monument. I don't know if you know this but 9/11 was done by BushCo and ISRAEL. The Mossad rigged all three towers with explosives. they got caught when Building #7 fell but still nothing happens. psychopaths are in-charge. https://www.bitchute.com/video/tcC0uhm6AgQV/

As a direct answer to the OP's question, the 99 M2 did not come with a tach. The factory tach kit was indeed a 'plug-n-play's affair and really simple to install.
