My gauges vibrate and spin around +/- 20 degrees. This is on a 99X1, took the dash apart and the rubber cushion has turned to powder. A reference to the part I am talking about is below that seems to indicate that the part is obsolete. Does anyone know of an alternative?

They say you could contact twin motorcycles for alternatives!

I'm sure there's a million other bikes that used a similar part, but you'd have to measure the diameter of yours and try to find one that's similar. I replaced an old set on a GS500 years ago, and I don't remember what I used but I'm pretty sure it was something from the door/window trim from home depot. I think I found something that was a rubberish foam strip and just wrapped it around the bucket and it worked perfectly fine, if you can't find anything else.

It turns out twin does have them in stock but for about $120 shipped to the USA for 2. I like twin and I understand supply and demand but was not willing to pay that much for this part.

I ended up 3D printing them in TPU which is a bit harder than the original foam. Holds the gauges pretty nicely and looks good.

The files to recreate them are posted here. One could probably have them professionally 3D printed in a very soft TPU for about $20 each if you dont have your own printer.
