While replacing the fuel pump, I discovered that the problem was actually a broken wire. Not sure how it happened, but the wire broke right where it comes out of the epoxy thing-a-magigger. No wire left to splice. The manual doesn't say what that condenser looking thing is and I can't find any replacement online.
Does anyone know what purpose that serves and any suggestions for a fix or workaround? I don't have a picture of the broken one. I stole a picture from another post of a good one.

Have you tried calling St. Paul Buell?

ks50, the "condensor thing" IF I remember correctly is the low fuel light thermister
when uncovered it heats up and allows the low fuel light to burn.
